Why is abortion a live issue in Australian politics again?

Going to guess that actually aborting a healthy foetus at 34 weeks has never happened in Australia. Probably because it would involve an induced labour and a living baby at the end of it. Spose the theists ITT are imaging a coathanger like internal murder or some such.

But you are the one who apparently supports abortion regardless of the circumstances, so long as it is woman's choice. Current policies doesn't stop you from answering the question.
I've explained why I support a woman's bodily autonomy, you can't tell me why you think otherwise.

Just another genius who would disappear in a cloud of smoke and mirrors if someone put their views under the slightest duress I’m sure.
I'm not inventing scenarios about stuff I know **** all about to justify trying to control women's bodies. Very comfortable in my non-creepy views on abortion. Thanks for the concern tho.

admits it
I am certainly not a medical professional and do not pretend to be one. You on the other hand, also have no idea but definitely want to force women to submit to your moral judgement despite your ignorance.

I've discussed scenarios why I think it is wrong in particular circumstances that make bodily autonomy a lesser consideration in those circumstaces.
So you'd be good with someone telling you what you could an couldn't do with your body if they thought autonomy was a lesser consideration for them?

Yeah sure. I could choose to have a circumcision and I no doubt will have people with judgements about it. Even Doctors who would refuse to perform one.

I believe they would inject it with poison if that were permitted to happen. Googling things is easy!
Seems odd given that it would still need to be birthed or whatever. Has this ever happened to your expert google knowledge?

Is there a point to this
Is there a point to whether your hypothetical is important in the abortion debate? I would say no but it seems important to you.

Because the actual regulations we have in Australia are in place to stop that kind of thing. Because I was talking to someone who said that just wanting an abortion is a good enough reason to have one. Because laws exist to stop terrible things happening even if they are rare and bizarre.

I reckon it's pretty terrible for a government to force someone to carry a pregnancy they don't want. Reckon a law to stop that terrible thing happening is a good idea.

Are you talking about the laws we currently have?
Can't say I am completely across all the abortion legislation across the nation. I don't agree that anyone should be forced into carrying a foetus they don't want. If you're looking to breadcrumb something here, I can't be ****ed, I'm going to bed.

Completely fine with just about any realistic abortion scenario though if you want to go ahead and consider me a monster. Entirely comfortable with placing the rights of women above any foetus they carry. Have a good one.

If someone made a choice in that scenario to terminate then that is a highly disturbing way to express their bodily autonomy. It really has nothing to do with healthcare. Nothing wrong with questioning that and it doesnt become a sacred cow of not questioning their choices like you so want it to be. I think you use language like "deeply personal" so you convinantly remain sitting on the fence.
Getting pregnant isn’t deeply personal?🤣
FFS dude, are you being serious?
Regardless, it’s got nothing to do with you, nor any man, woman, government, religion or any other organisation outside of the pregnant person and their healthcare provider.
Full **** stop, no further interrogations nor questions.
Give an inch you or some other nefarious entity will take a mile, and I will never accept this proposition and would die on that hill for the women of this country.
We don’t need this stupid American conversation here, someone else’s choice is none of my business, if it harms me not.
You’ve still yet to explain where in the healthcare sector you operate within, or are you lying?

No need to explain to you my specific work status. Irrelevant to the conversation. I' m just going to assume you are a no holds barred whatever the situation supporter of abortion. I think there are scenarios where termination is not necessary.
