She was so loud, I actually had to block the ear when they scored in particular. And she knew it. People all around were looking at her. I don't get why you'd go to any social event just to "have your moment" and be a FW. And reality is all we did was laugh at her and say go baggers like she was.
Side note - the grog squad was a disgrace. The amount of times they were screaming the C bomb out loudly. We got women and kids around. It was pretty feral stuff. They need to do better.

Trainor is looking good too. With balta and gibcus the backline looks more solid. I still think lefau should be on the wing and let the kids in the forward line learn from lynch. Smillie and hotton as well. If we can nail the next draft with a couple more, looking forward to 3 years time.

I feel the same way but about Dow. What he produced yesterday exceeded my expectations. I was ready to put a line through him, but if he can produce more games like yesterday, then he’ll pretty much get chosen every week.

Woke up happy. Still happy.

We've got a lot to work with. But most AFL teams won't just crumble when the pressure comes on. If Carlton don't acquire a backbone teams will just apply the blowtorch and they will lose a lot of games.

Only the first game but watching our 3rd - 5th year players step up with so much discipline and footy smarts was awesome. If they keep developing we will have a really solid list come end 25.

the 3 newbies - just WOW!! Lalor looks the goods. Armstrong goes really hard and looks like in a couple of years he'll be damn hard to handle. Trainor is so smart and in control. get him some muscle and we have someone special.

And there is more to come.

I'm expecting a lot of loses this year. But I am also now expecting some wins and a lot of players growing.

This will be a very interesting season for us. Expect beltings and expect moments of brilliance like this match. Very proud of the club. I genuinely bought in to the narrative that we will be holding up the ladder this season but looking at it now and the belief that the club has, I don't think we will make 8's (will eat a hat if we do) but we will have a very good season in watching the players develop and maybe making 10th or (god forbids) 9th.
