If you're in the side due to speed, carry and elite use by foot, then he was beyond terrible. We get more of what he provided from either Bond or Nank and with a much greater future benefit.

Have been working so onky looking up here and there, so this is based solely on stats. The 2 defensive players that I are on watch are Laird, in terms of his role and Milera in terms of not deserving selection.

Not worried about Curtin at all. He does some super classy things. Keep playing and if they think about dropping him they should stop thinking that and just keep playing him.

You could honestly make an argument Woozle is our best aggressive rebounder, especially if today is anything to go by

Don’t mind the low aggressiveness from Laird, given a lot of our actual rebound was put on Woz and Hinge’s shoulders. You’d realistically want the ball in the latter two’s hands for that, anyway

What Laird was important for was being clean when getting ground balls, as well as general link up

I watched the second half and that was the better half in terms of moving the ball forward. He was -11 metres gained at half time, negative eleven. Unless the first half was a damn sight better, it all adds up to a terrible game, given the rationale for his selection.

It's probably a sign that he is a linking up in the back half and handballing to a team mate.
