Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Dougal Howard could be a bigger in than any of those guys (strictly talking about this season of course). Will be huge for Wilkie and Caminiti as we come up against bigger forward lines i.e. the CrowsMax King, Cooper Sharman, Liam Henry, Mattaes Phillipou, 2x top 10 picks, and more to return to this St Kilda side
Early days of 2025 we are seeing rapid improvement in the depth of this squad as competition improves
I had already given up on this season with the way we played last week. But this performance has completely flipped the switch - we are genuinely on the rise...and fast
Crazy what a bit of effort can do for a side

Ah here comes the AFL to piss on our parade.
Dermott Brereton said encouraging words. He said Hammer ‘was showing some nous as a defender’. I have no idea what he meant, and Cam made some scary errors towards the end as well as some great efforts, but those words are what I have wanted to hear, and I’ll take ‘em to the bank. Thank heavens.Caminiti went pretty alright.
13 marks![]()
But they're in the window whilst the Bont is there. That's before you look at the age of players like naughton.
The rest aren't great in terms of younger mids. Kennedy ain't much chop. Otherwise why did the blues get rid of him.
Also if they've saved 500k with Kennedy there are we saying Macrae was on 900+k a year. As I imagine Kennedy wasn't exactly playing below the medium AFL salary?
It doesn't make sense at all to me.
The only way this makes sense is if the dogs thought he was done. Which he clearly isn't.
And we have Jack Carroll. He had a bit of a less spectacular match but all of his traits look like he should be absolutely special. The pace and sustained end to end running are going to be a weapon. Garcia and Boxshall look promising and Jackal reckons that Said has as much promise as those two. Decent spread of midfield depth coming through. Still have Dow, Jones and Clark as depth.
What's behind JUH's absence? I'm a bit outta the loop in that regard.
Sex? Drugs? Rock'n'roll? All of the above?
I think that’s an auto correct but don’t edit.
Just on NAS.Feeling a lot better after a very flat week. Great to see the group able to turn things around so quick. The pressure was through the roof and our ball use improved out of sight.
That was definitely right up there for Marcus Windhagers best game of his career, hopefully he doesn't look back now. He has looked like breaking out a few times now but just hasn't really been able take it to the next level consistently. At almost 22, now is the time for him really get his career going.
I loved Jack MaCrae's last game, the criticism around him was ridiculous. He's always going to be the player that brings players around him into the game rather than break the game open himself. The main difference between last weeks game and this weeks is that he had the support and work rate around him.
Marshall showed why he is so important to us in the ruck. His tap work will never be elite but his impact around the ground and in stoppages is second to none. Unfortunately the big fella last week just looked too slow for the top level.
Sinclair looked much better for the run and also playing in his best position off half back. He needs to stay there other then the odd pinch hit in the middle. And we need to do whatever it takes to sign Nas, we just can't afford to lose him. He is looking more composed by the week and could be in contention for an AA guernsey this year.
I thought Caminiti showed some really good signs at times. Still clearly has a lot to learn about playing defence and could get eaten up alive by a quality forward, but showed enough to persist with and develop in that role.
I also thought Mitch Owens was hugely important to us last night, despite only having the 10 touches. He reminds so much of Aaron Hammill with his presence.
And lastly, big wraps on Zac Jones and Mason Wood who really stood up and showed some leadership last night. We needed it.
Have you never seen Zoolander?I think that’s an auto correct but don’t edit.
Biggest waste of a list I've seen. On par with Melbourne.
So glad Owens just extended.
FMD the umps did him no favours.
You're a man of great knowledge working at levels i haven't come across beforeJust on NAS.
Two points:
1) The fist pump on the siren,
2) NAS and Mitch rocked up to the Sandringham game today.
Neither would indicate that he is out the door.
I’m typically not fussed by the media, but I do think the club needs to start asking questions of reporters that represent the AFL.
It’s very rare that we beat a more fancied opponent and that these pieces are a positive about us, and this is no exception. There’s no secret we’re a minnow in the eyes of the footy public, but there was a lot from last night that should have been highlighted to help support our popularity.
This sort of stuff can help shape people’s narrative about us.
Time for it to stop imo
Absolutely molested all night. They gave the Geelong forwards frees for getting players near them up the other end.
So Bailey Smith was injured.I’m typically not fussed by the media, but I do think the club needs to start asking questions of reporters that represent the AFL.
