I genuinely see an upset North by 5-8 points. I have belief but at the same time our midfield of ours will have to step up again with that smell of blood mentality to beat Dawson, Soligo and Rankine.

Sheezel has to have a breakout game and maybe break loose from them 2 ineffective kicking games his presented against Dees and Dogs. Once again I see Xerri dominating and Powell having around 24-26 touches. Sheezel will lead the pack i reckon out of the midfield/ ball magnets.

It’s all hope and belief if we win this it’s a huge big deal celebration because Adelaide are looking so good and hungry for a locked in top 8 spot.

You should know better than anyone that the Duck partied harder than anyone after a victory ol’ boy.

As long as they train their ass off the following week and produce on the weekend they can swim in a silo full of home brew after a win for all I care..
Fitness standards in the 90s are incomparable to today. Players are significantly fitter and standards are much, much higher. Any side from the 90s would get run off the park.

We will win. I feel it

Have seen some comments about this in different threads this week, but keen to see what everyone's thoughts are on how we'll structure up our back 6 vs. Adelaide, and what our likely match ups will be. Have had a go below:

B:Corr (Keays), Logue (Fogarty), Pink (Walker)

HB: Daniel (Neal-Bullen), Comben (Thilthorpe), McDonald (Rachele)

Manufacturing a spare in the backline will be one of the keys to our success in this game. If we're hesitant to go in with the 4 talls you'd imagine Tucker retains his place in the side and a choice will be made between Logue/Pink.

Not comparing eras, just pointing out if they want a couple of beers together to enjoy their wins then let them go, as long as they train the house down the next week and keep performing on the weekends then I have no problem with it at all.

Most successful teams on the field have a great social connection off it. It builds camaraderie.

Couple of potential Kerridges right there.

One thing is for certain in this one, the home crowd will influence the whistle blowers from the first bounce to the final siren.. everyone should prepare their neighbours now for the inevitable yelling of expletives come Sunday..

I think we can make Comben the spare again - question is, which forward can we exploit?
First one that comes to mind is Walker (due to age).

So maybe something liiiike:
B: Corr (Rachele), Logue (Thilthorpe), Pink (Fogarty)

HB: Daniel (Neal-Bullen), Comben (Walker), McDonald (Keays)

The thing that terrifies me is when Rankine runs through there - no real matchup for him...

Rankine has been playing as a mid rotating forward.

Dawson and peatling also spending time up there with Curtin coming in off a wing.

It’s a big forward mid rotation with Neal bullen doing the heavy lifting and covering off for their aggressive forward push

I agree. A couple is ok but getting smashed after a game like Carey etc used to do in the 90s is definitely not it.
