With how things have played out, I think we've merely kicked the can down the road. We would have known at the time we traded pick 3 that we were likely to finish near the bottom of the ladder and had the possibility of another top pick with Oscar Allen moving on so we've focused on middle-aged players and amassing draft picks. I know sentiment is low at the moment but premierships are built on more than a single draft pick.
The draft pick that never dies, like a vampire zombie it keeps coming back.
It's joined the illustrious company of the Kelly trade in the dark annals of football trading.

Out: Jilliams, Edwards, Hall
In: Gov, Grego, Brockman

Backs: Brock, Gov, Ginbey, Maric, Hough, Harley, Duggan
Mids: Baker, Graham/Grego, Hutchinson, Gross, Hunt, Dewar
Rucks: Billiams, Archer
Forwards: Waterman, Allen, Davis, Ryan, Cripps, Grego/Graham, Owies
Sub: Brockman
Emergencies: Cole, Edwards, Hall

Edwards makes way for Gov due to matchups (Essendon aren’t that tall up forward) and due to not wanting to drop Brock.

Hall makes way for a Grego debut after a quiet game (zero clearances!) Graham to spend more time in the middle.

Davis into the 22 for Williams, get him to use his running ability to follow Redman everywhere. If nothing else it’ll be a good learning experience.

Brockman in as sub because I’d rather not debut Grego as sub, and I’d rather Hall get a full game of WAFL.

Hewett to come back through the WAFL, Kelly, Long, Cole etc to continue to work for a recall.

Surely Rhino could’ve thought “hmmm, Waterman a test with a back/calf, Hutchinson a test with a hammy, Hewett 1 week away with a calf, this looks an awful lot like last week’s list!” and just held off posting for a bit. Had us all melting for a bit there

In fairness, Baker, Gross, Owies & Davies were better than Jagga Smith on the weekend.

And I know he’s not going to be as good a midfielder as those other guys based on watching them last year. Pretty simple stuff. There’s a reason why he’s not getting a game in a terrible terrible afl side.
I mean you can pretend your opinions are factual if you like, doesn't bother me. Yep the reason is illness

Wasn't having a shot at you or the conversation, just how the #3 pick subject needs a wooden stake or a silver bullet or a bunch of garlic? Preferably all three...

Bombers either bring in Goldstein and keep Draper mainly forward or bring in 2m Peter.

Edwards is a better match up than Brock for both and also played pretty bloody well considering the avalanche of inside 50s and the quality of his opponent. I'd be staggered if he's dropped this week

Which probably speaks to where we are as a team, not what we’re asking of Ginbey.

If the ball is down there so often, and Ginbey is still getting close to half his touches outside of D50, that shows me they clearly want it in his hands on the rebound. The ball is in our D50 about 99% of the game, his possessions should be way more weighted to deep deep deep defence if he’s not a rebounding defender.

That’s a BS stat. Reason he has 2nd most rebounds is because he is the only one along with Maric to play every game down back. We have rotated of HB an absurd amount which means it’s hard to have high numbers. Reid won’t match Ginbey as he has 2 games at HB not 5

Yeo is just going to be 4-5 all year

From January this year, "early part of the season"
So current worse case 5 weeks takes us up to round 10. So more like mid season.
Let's see how long it blows out too from here

Have you actually watch him in the WAFL team this year?
In the one and only WAFL game he played after coming off an illness that resulted in him dropping 5kg?
Cant say I did, but if I had I definitely would have strong opinions on exactly how his career will pan out.

I’m no Edwards fan but must agree. He’s vital this week. The bombers can go big forward
