Selling games in Western Australia bought us some time but it really does feel like our existence is and will be in question. How do you convince people to resign as members putting this out year after year?

All I can do is look back and be happy I saw 1 flag as a kid. The kid who had 100% certainty we were going to be ok even in 2007 when the AFL came for us. Was never in doubt that we would reject the Gold Coast offer.

But it's not hyperbole now. We are really looking at losing this club within a decade

Sadly, this is something I'm resigned to as well. We have the smallest membership, and continue to be terrible on field.

As much as I wanted to leave in the 3rd, I sat with blues supporting wife and laid my eyes on the worst last quarter I’ve ever seen in my life. Capping off one of the worst performances I’ve seen from us in this period.

Any movement made forward has been completely undone. How can you support this? They gave up. Mentally ****ed, soft, there’s no way up if that stays the same. Heartbroken, I have given up too.

I got up at 6am this morning to drive the 523.5 kilometres from my door to Marvel Stadium.

Missed out on both AFL and North Membership tickets so spent $69 to sit in North Melbourne Closer to a Flag‘s Bay 29.

I bought a Toby Pink badge and a hat that, as it turns out, does not fit my head.

I sat next to Carlton supporters lactating over victories over two spud teams and letting me know alllllll about it.

I just got back to the car and decided to hang my scarf out the window for
a)my own perverse enjoyment and
b)to troll passing Blues fans as J tootle down Lygon Street in the way to mum’s joint.

3/4s of the team freeze under the slightest pressure. I don't know if that's because they're dumb and don't know what to do or if it's because what they have been told to do is dumb but it ain't working. Add to that spuds like Zurhaar who think "standing up" means running harder and faster into the oppositions tackle to look tough instead of actually achieving something positive and we are in big big trouble.

Yeh it’s pretty much what I did 1986-1990. It shat me to tears so I just went and lived life. Then I went to Rd 2 1990 and Horse went crazy and that started me off again.

Problem today is that AFL is so in your face it’s hard to escape in this era

I was expecting a close game today tbh. Maybe snatch a close win.

60 years plus consecutive membership and I reckon I'm hurting more than most of the players after this heartless dribble. If the boys can't get pumped up for a game like this then I fear for our future. So many people under intense scrutiny now.

My father in law felt similar. It getting to be hard turning up at games these days to be served with that tripe.

We need to overhaul our defence
Our defence is not AFL standard
Instead we add more soft players

Its difficult but Clarko hasn't worked out.

Firstly, we lost this without the sizeable influence of the umpires.

We play too many down-hill skiers: McKercher, Daniel, Fisher, Duursma, Powell is just a recipe for disaster.

Our midfield was owned. Mauled by the opposition. Not through ferocity, but through smarts and using space effectively. They hung players back and murdered us on the spread. Pathetic effort by the mids.

Larkey was pus. From the f*cking snapped poster from 20 out, to his consistent inability to Halve a contest.

Our backline is a shit-show. They don’t seem to know how to man up. This is not helped by our mids falling asleep at the wheel. How many out the back, dinky goals did Curnow kick? It’s infuriating.

This team may be the worst team in the history of the v/afl to prevent junk-time goals. I had a chuckle with a random North fan about how with 25 seconds left a goal would be kicked. And Lo and behold…

Our forward line was kind of dynamic in patches but just didn’t have any ability to prevent their launches from HB. The amount of times they were so easily able to cut us up in transition was laughable.

Curtis and Wardlaw (and McDonald) the only players who can be half proud of their efforts.

F*ck me that was difficult to watch.

Clarko was cooked 5 years ago, when handover was announced at Hawks the players revolted and led to events that forced him out.

He has gotten worse at North, unfortunately for you guys, and is stealing a living without even being able to teach players how to defend, let alone follow a workable game plan.

You have some genuine talent and i believe need to move Clarko and get a new coaching team in place, to see some improvement.

Clarko struggled at Hawks from 2017 onwards, it is now 2025.

He is Sheedy mark 2, the game has gone past him. Problem is he is on $1m plus until end 2027...and will never resign. You are stuck with him.

I've officially lost hope now.

There is far too much talent on our list for us to be this bad.

If the coaches haven't lost the players, they've lost me. Clean out the lot of them. The excuses are over. Patience is spent. This group is taking us nowhere. There is just no discernable game plan or system. If the players aren't up to what the coaches are wanting them to do, then that's on the coaches. I get, we're probably not in a position to get rid of Clarko yet, but these assistants are not much chop.
