No one would get a bigger shock than Cole (after Allen). Teachers pet of Simpson and many fans and all of a sudden on scrap heap. no free rides anymore. Petch gone but he will get another chance elsewhere as his role is likely to be more effective in a better team. No more big contracts for borderline footballers.

I would like to do something with Duggan but given his nature, probably think situation would be recoverable if he was to lose captaincy. Kelly - don’t know. Just don’t know where that’s heading.

I can only dream of Caro’s reaction is Bont was to actually come to us. She still can’t understand how a 70 year old Mitchell got traded for steak knives even though it was obvious to everyone.

Would hope we are dangling the carrot of an assistant coaching role as part of the recruiting package for him.

Unfortunately cant draw comparisons.
