Another good "barometer" game. It's good that we follow up a Top 4 contender with another tough game, which Fremantle in Perth always is. They'll respond from last week too.

Fogarty out probably makes it tougher, but Rachele and Peatling back gives us more ground ball and speed which you do often need at Optus.

5-2 feels a lot different to 4-3.

Every game of AFL is tough. Some are just tougher. Freo in front of their home crowd is going to be a challenge. Freo have only belted one team so far which was Richmond. They haven’t really capitalised on their home ground advantage only beating Footscray by 16 points a couple of weeks ago. The fact they are favourites probably shows the importance of that home ground advantage. A win in the West will be a big scalp.

I think we could win this one. Put me down for a four goal win.

Need to break the game open, make sure it's not a defensive grind

Think we have more attacking weapons than them in an open game
Going to be very interesting if we think last weeks style is the way to go or we are adaptable and smart enough to realise we don’t need to play like that against every opposition.

Clearly we are a better attacking team than Freo who are more defensive. We need to play to our strengths.

Optus is very similar in size to the MCG, perfect conditions also.

The stage is set for us to score 100+.

So far the season has gone

Nicks vs coaches he has a >30% win rate against: 4-0

Nicks vs coaches he has a <30% win rate against: 0-2

20% win rate against Longmuir. It's time for Nicks to start winning against a broader range of coaches

Betts are off posted some interesting stats about the Serong/Brayshaw combo.

If Nicks/VB (read: Davis) can counter one or both of them, that should win us the game.
On talent/personnel, speedy two-way runners (especially Keays) and if last week's defence is maintained we have an edge.
Crows, by 40 (with the caveat I tipped GWS last week :grimacing: :poov1: ).

Freo haven't done much this year apart from a good win against the Bulldogs a few weeks ago.
They did lose to Melbourne also.

We get a good break on the competition if we win this week at 5-2

Freo are missing Jackson and Fyfe

I think our team has got some real confidence in the way we are playing this year.
And I reckon the space at Optus will open the game up.
I think our forwards will be able to kick a good score and win by 5-6 goals tonight
Nice to get a Friday night game on Anzac day
Go Crows

Freo were considered a top four chance at the start of the year and have been below their best so far this season. This is a must win for Freo and I expect a hot battle .

Whilst Freo have not been smashed with injury they have not been able to play both of their twin towers (Darcy, Jackson) together this year. The loss of Jackson is more significant imho than our loss of Fog. If ROB can break even with Darcy then this will go a long way towards a Crow’s win.

Freo has a very classy midfield and three quality tall defenders. Treacy and Amiss offer good tall targets for the Dockers.

Freo are slight favourites, I would be happy with a one point win.
