Hilarious. This is one of those weeks where if you said the result at the start, after our effort vs Essendon and Adelaide vs the Swans everyone would be leaping over themselves to take it

But because of how it played out over the last three hours instead it's embarrassing, pathetic, shambles, etc etc etc.

We had every chance to get it through in the last but just because the commentators are shitting all over us that doesn't make it true - we were fighting a Lyons-esque flood so it's not like we were getting clean shots time and again.
Posting after these losses is as embarrassing as it gets, we made more mistakes in the last quarter than we’ve made in years and lost by under a goal

That's BS simply just didn't finish our work off by missing simple goals
Yes, true. However, Daniher playing tonight might have been the difference. We have no reliable long down the line target which has been a feature of our exits when we have struggled to get speed on the ball. Daniher, before that McStay, before that Martin or Walker. Hipwood isn’t that sort of player unfortunately.

I thought overall we played well tonight. High intense/pressure game and it was a solid arm wrestle against the team that scores the most in the comp, on their deck.

We did a lot right throughout the whole night, ultimately we let ourselves down at the end but they'll know that. I've seen worse losses, in this season alone.

Not me. I thought before the game we'd win it.

Umm, did you watch Bailey's kicks at goal?

Crows defended well. Makes for awful footy to have your whole team in an oppositions defensive 50 all game but it worked. Stifled a lot of the Lions small forwards.

Hipwood needs a training block. In my 30 odd years of supporting this club he’s arguably the worst player I’ve seen to somehow still get games. And that’s including spuds like Lisle and Close.

Just had a text.

Ah Chee's was clearly a goal and the silence of their crowd told you everything.

Wtf is a review worth with that vision. Amateur hour. Goal ump froze.

We were clearly the better side. Don't know why we didn't just steady instead of cough it up with all the experience we had out there.

Just disappointing to lose . 20 i/s 50's to 8 . A bit unfathomable really.

Adelaide made the sub at 3 qtr time. Fagan waited and watched as we were outnumbered at every contest. 4 goals were on the board before he made the move. After Robertson came on, we dominated but couldn't kick straight. Dev Robertson is a battler, but he is strong and hard fit. He will be sprinting laps around Adelaide oval as we speak. Levi Ashcroft is a kid who is tired and hasn't been able to give a second effort for a month. Ridiculous in a wet slog to not use the sub earlier.

Well ..... I bet the neutrals enjoyed that. For me ......

That last quarter though ....... When they came out and took the lead and we knew it would be trouble. But **** me we had enough if it to win it. So many dumb decisions when 50-70m out. So many crazy shots when we had men in better positions. I thought Adelaide deserved to win it with 15 minutes to go but then we applied immense pressure but kept doing dumb shit.

Hipwood was playing up the ground for most of it. It's ok if you weren't watching close enough to notice him working hard enough to be getting in the contest around the half back line and the wings.
I was talking specifically about the last 15 minutes. When we had the ball locked inside our forward half. He was nowhere near the contests and easily held out.

There was a few average games but a special shout out to Zac. He had a few shockers last year but that was next level shit tonight. If he wasn’t giving away free kicks he was turning it over. Had a good year, but that was a real shocker tonight, went back to trying to do to much.
Zac was ineffective but he was at least getting the ball... Would you rather zero lessons, zero clangers or 21 possessions, eight clangers and six score involvements. Because as a board we love crapping on those that try and fail half the time over those who don't do anything.

Mind you I'm from Adelaide

The saints loss 20 years ago was tough and there was a 20 goal loss to the crows a while back but unfortunately the players aren't willing to put in hard enough and we're crumbling far too often to be a legitimate threat

Nope, you're emotional.

Compare how we're doing this year compared to last.

We're ok.

Nah our issue isnt lack of Daniher or a Daniher replacement.

Had chances tonight.

Our issue is a premiership hangover we have had from the Kangaroos game.

Players are thinking it will just happen. There is no accountability.

It will change but until it does it will be frustrating.
