Outs are fine.

Unnecessary risk with Gulden and Papley, but have to hope our recovery and training standards are better these days I guess.

Given Port have not replaced Aliir with a tall, won't be disappointed if Francis is a late out. But then the emergencies are uninspiring too. Hanily if so.

Mills looked ready, so I’m more confident they’ll be ready too… here’s hoping.

We have too many wingers in the squad and everyone wants a small forward to be dropped for another winger.

Our team can't kick a score and they want to remove any semblance of a forward line we have just to stuff all the best players in the squad out on the field
Co Warner has kicked 8 goals in 13 games, hardly a game changer.
Hannily 6 goals in 8 games and 0 in the last 3. Same as above.

We are dropping Lloyd so that's a start. Roberts is a slight upgrade on him based on current form

Gulden is a goal kicker so he's an upgrade on everyone plus he's the leading goal assist from last year. Plus he will make the mid-sized forwards look better as he's he lead the

Pappas is obviously a big upgrade on the current small forward production.

The Pirate was our leading goal kicker last year.

The team is getting stronger- will be more potent around goals this week. Get excited!

Francis the sub for mine. He can play forward or back. If we lose a mid then Mills or even Roberts can rotate through there.

Hi Swanies fans, just a quick SC qn if you don't mind, Chad Warner - will he eventually get back into your CBA's or has Sheldrick stolen his spot? (I already can't believe it has happened, he's got that ugly Half Fwd role)

Did it last time to good effect I guess.

If so, hopefully the rest of the team shows up in the first 3 quarters this time and we don't need a yet to be repeated performance.

I'm not that invested.
However his curve is at a low ebb. I'm not sure it will swing up.
I'm not even sure his style of play is compatible with the "new" swans
Fair enough! He will be back though.

Agreed his form has been poor and needs a spell but you don’t play 270 games without resilience being a big part of your make up.

Lloyd was easily in our best 22 last year and played an important role on the wing, he can get back to this form.

I would be very surprised if this is his end. He will bounce back like he has done on the field many times over.

Campbell and Papley will be the smalls and I reckon we may see Gulden play a bit as a forward. Similar to Chad.

This is the best our forward line has looked all year.

Best forward line yet it is still probably bottom 5-6 in the league for goals per game. It is shocking that we are chucking an extra winger down there just cause

Your right and probably goes to show how shocking our forward line is that we can basically fill it with wingers playing out of position who have the same impact if not more than a natural small.

Dattoli is surely close to a debut

Hence i suspect we are throwing crazy deals at any decent forward who may be gettable
Yes but I think we seriously don't understand the role of a small forward and think that wingers can play that role.

We need to be going after some of the small forwards in the draft and rookies because they could genuinely make a difference to this side quickly

His contract ends this year.
He's not getting another.
He's not part of the future plans.
So why bother playing him?

Like Dattoli?

Definitely dont need to be drafting yet another small forward.

Our only genuine small forwards on the list are Papley Hanily and Dattoli for a list of 44

In saying that Hanily is a midfield at lower levels and Dattoli is seen more of a midfielder long term. Some teams have more small forwards in their 22 than we have on our full list
