Toast VFLW North Melbourne - Back to back premiers as the VFLW Roos down VFLW Pies by a kick in 2025 GF - 24/25 premiers

Shocked that she is not on an AFLW list.
I'm surprised she's not on our AFLW list. Kate Shierlaw is 36 years old and probably playing in her final season and we have a potential replacement on our VFLW list and since she joined our VFLW programme in 2024 we have had two opportunities to add her to our AFLW programme, but we chose some else instead. Hopefully, this won't bite us on the arse in the coming seasons.

I wonder if there is something else, as she has been overlooked by all the other clubs too. Maybe she is not ready or able to commit to the senior program.

She spent 1 year on the Dogs VFLW list and 2 years on Collingwoods VFLW list. This is her first year with us.

She played 2 games for the Dogs and kicked 0.1
She played 23 games for Collingwood and kicked 25.25
She played 24 games for us and kicked 54.26

It is fair to say that she will probably be on an AFLW list soon.

Second year with us.

Her improvement over the last two years has been quite astounding, she is currently leading the VFLW goalkicking by EIGHT goals. With improved fitness, she looks more mobile, is holding her own in the marking contest and her kicking for goal also looks more consistent. If her goal scoring form continues for the remainder of the season, not only will we win back to back premierships, but she will drafted to the AFLW possibly before we even get a chance to select her.

Ridiculous how AFLW list and coaches continue to [overlook] this talent every year 🤦‍♀️ y’all need to get it together in this league and pick her up dude
...which appears to have been 'liked' by a relative of Nyakoat, among others.

Truth is the typical VFLW game is not a great guide for judging how a forward will cope in big games at AFLW level, given the vast difference in contested nature. I would guess that generates some trepidation for recruiters.

In a good AFLW team, it wouldn't be surprising to see Dojiok kick a relatively high number of goals in the H&A season, a la Taylor Smith (who won the league goalkicking last year, then managed a total of 1 goal, 7 touches, 3 marks and 1 tackle across 3 finals).

But there's not much evidence yet to suggest she is comparable to Kate Shierlaw or any other player integral to North's AFLW forward-line, all of whom are very physically imposing and accustomed to being outnumbered due to extremely negative/defensively minded opposition tactics.

I guess when you are out-performing your peers at one level, there has to be a consideration for promotion to a higher level. Sure she might be a 3-4 goal key forward at VFLW but she might be a 1-2 goal HFF at AFLW. Would still be a very good option. I would argue she would get a start in at least half the current AFLW teams.

Have heard through the grapevine that a level of professionalism leaves a bit to be desired. Nothing nefarious, more to do with punctuality and some level of reliability. Her talent has more than likely been the reason she's stayed in the system in the first place.

Top of the ladder

Still have our best player Alana barba to come back in
Would have her come in for Douglas next week
Good to see them prevail against better opposition, will better prepare them for the finals if they can grind out a few and still win. It's great having those big wins but these types of games will harden them.

Loving watching this team running around (and all over Port Melbourne) at Arden St, looks like perfect conditions.

Half time it is 51-6 and a complete domination, including a freakish dribbled goal from Meier on the pocket boundary right before the siren which the commentators said could be goal of the year.

Can someone explain this to me another example of destroying the NMFC jumper please.
This is BS as this going to all time low you might as well play in their fu:king vomit yellow and black jumper.
For that jumper to be worn and especially at our home ground Arden Street is like having dagger shoved in the Heart and to those who bled for our once great club would either be sick in the guts or turning their grave at this sight.
The people who have done this need to named and shamed but won’t be as they are under the protection of the NMFC Woke Empire.
I know that Scum club end game they want to be more then a VFL club they want to be a AFL club and they know the NMFC Administration and Board are weak decadent and have no idea on how a football club is run so they know it’s a matter of time before they get even more say.
I just want to know how long before the NMFC AFL jumper changes colours to theirs and our jumper becomes like the one in the photo and is destroyed.
People hear on Big Footy might say it’s only the VWFL jumper buts it’s our jumper and say why worry about it buts it’s our jumper the REAL professional AFL clubs like Collingwood,Geelong and Richmond wouldn’t allow their jumper to other to altered with other club colours.
This is just another dagger in hearts of the REAL supporters of this club and a victory for the NMFC Woke Empire and mates from the Scum club.

Didn't mind the jumper, even back in late 2010's when the men wore it in the AFL, I just didn't think it should be our home jersey.

What I didn't like about the jumper was the W on the back, but I guess that is what happens when you join up with Werribee, just like having Tasmania on the back of our AFLW jersey.
