If it is a dollars issue, Collingwood being the biggest club in Australia, could easily sort him out financially via numerous sponsorships , considering the heavy hitters and the business associations we have.

If it is the allure of being the inaugural captain of a brand new club , he will have to weigh it up against being the captain of the most storied and most successful club in AFL history.

I hope so. Geelong supporters probably thought the same about GAJ.
Hmm true. Im not sure the Ablett's have the same moral compass as the Daicos' though. Nothing against GAJ though as hes a ripping fella, i just think Peter has given his boys exemplary grounding about loyalty

He could have just as easily picked sam darcy as the subject of that article

Razor Ray on AFL 360 saying the umpires should have awarded more free kicks against Langdon and Windhager to Daicos.

Always knew Razor was a good bloke. 😉

As we all knew he should have. Thing is umps rarely give holding frees at stoppages because half the time each pair of players hold each other.

One thing to trial would be to have Nick start further away from the stoppage and sprint towards it when the ball up happens. He has enough acceleration to create separation and stopping him from running (more what Langdon did than Windhager) will result in a whistle more often than not. Preferably do this in perfect view of the non officiating ump. After a while it’ll make that particular tactic stop (and idiotic oppo supporters fume).

Here is the segment by the way.

It’s a good piece of work by Ray. Examples are really clear cut and no one with a sane mind would want this stuff to go on. Interesting also that Ray literally said the instructions to the umps were very clear from AFL CEO down back in the day to protect the players playing the game and watch out for the taggers. Lack of leadership at AFL house and the major umpiring challenges of the last few years may also have led to taggers pushing the line further, and led to the absurdity of the Langdon style tag we haven’t seen in a long time.

If the umpires umpired Nick Daicos and Mason Cox fairly they'd both have 15 frees for per game.

Bah, was a nothing statement anyway.

“I’d never rule anything out,” and “It’s hard to picture, obviously, it’s so far away – but I’m very happy at Collingwood now.”

This actual quote from Nick, which is basically a deflection, becomes (according to Sam McClure, no less):

Daicos bombshell: Pies star open to shock Tasmania move

and

Daicos said he would be open to offers

No he fvcking didn't, Sam, ya flog. Talk about gilding the lily 🤦‍♀️

When Nick runs, his legs remind me of the Road Runner. They seem to spin around in circles

Probably the worst skill game he has played.
So many fumbles, missed handballs and kicks.
I was close to screaming at the TV to sub him…..
Lucky you managed to contain yourself, might have been sleeping on the couch otherwise.

Me too. He seems to almost be trying too hard to do the spectacular when it isn't required.

It's been that long since Nick hasn't had a hard tag & someone hanging off his arse every time he tries to give off a handball or a kick.

Anyway, that's my theory on why he tried to do too much at times & fluffed it a few times 🤪

We were too Naicos conscious early, giving it to him when he was in a bad position. We adjusted and the score reflects that adjustment.

He was unlucky not to have 3-4 goals.
