No Port rate him and are still thinking he makes it.

That said if he were to average 3 goals a game for the rest of the season it could work.

Lord and ….

That's not what I've heard at all.

Have absolutely zero issue if Berry or Whitlock are part of the deal. If they can be considered first rounders, one of them and next years first would be great. We just need to get this done in anyway possible, without losing one of our stars.
I sure as hell ain't giving up on Berry or Whitlock. Look, NWM is a very talented player but Port went through so much last year during the trade period to acquire those picks in a strong draft and trading away one of them would just make the deal even worse.

It’s not giving up, it’s trading them to get something much better.

I wouldn’t be trading them for draft picks, but you would be stupid not to do the deal for someone like NWM

trading someone with the potential that Whitlock has is beyond absurd

this will be unpopular but, i would argue a 200+cm monster key forward with immense potential is on par in terms of the importance of acquiring Nas.

Whitlock is our future.

Berry on the other hand i would be fine trading (if he doesnt show any afl traits by the seasons end), as long as we dont have to give up anything else apart from 1 first rounder alongside berry.

If NWM is taking Farrell’s role in the team I reckon he happily returns home. Landing NWM would be massive, I’d be up and about for Port for the first time in near on a decade.
Why Farrells role ? it could be Lachie Jones role

having Rozee & NWM as half backs and Farrell in the back pocket could be a huge win for us

I'm not thinking big value.

More just one of those fringe players that can help sell the shit sandwich to the members.

A Dean Gore if you will.

That I agree with.
He's contracted until the end of next season, so if another team comes knocking they could potentially get something as high as a second rounder for him given his position.

Someone else said Farrell wouldn’t want to leave as trade bait. I don’t really agree with that as contracts mean little these days. Jones is going nowhere. He’s a Port supporter.

If Lord can kick on average at least 2 goals every game for the rest of the season in the AFL his value would go up.
If I has a big bag along the way even better.
But these are BIG IFs
Then again if it happens some here would be saying we can't trade him

I doubt Lord has the kind of value you're imagining him to have.

He's probably close to delist material at this stage.

Hell no.

People are kinda oblivious to the state of kpf stocks around the league.

He’ll, Sam ****ing day is still on an afl list. I don’t think half this board even realises he’s been in the afl for the past half a decade.

A lot of teams either have very poor / average kfs on their list or next to none at all cause they can’t find any remotely worth adding.

A young kpf who has shown something is near on untouchable.

Trade out DBJ?

He’s a first 22 player who adds something to a saints team, but age goes against him.

Makes him at best steak knives and not worth us giving up.

I’ve pointed out unrealistic kf expectations regarding Todd / Mitch etc before and here it is again regarding Lord. People talking about lord needing to average 3 goals and 2 goals.

3 goals a game is Coleman medal favourites

2 goals a game is high end kf. That puts him around the top dozen kfs in an 18 team league.

People are still living in 2025 as if it’s still the era of 100 goal game seasons.

Yep. If Lord kicks, say, 10 goals between now and the rest of the season while offering a chop out in the ruck, that's more than good enough to justify his spot and should be enough for him to hold his spot until the end of the year.

Nas’s Milera side comes from his grandmother Pammy Coleman married Nugget Milera , Pammy being Peter Burgoyne seniors first cousin so close with the Burgoynes .
The Wanganeen side comes from Gavin’s sister from a different father , remembering Gav is only a Wanganeen by marriage , his mother is a Davey and his father a white man Gary Turnbull . So a strong connection with the Ceduna Burgoyne/Davey mob .
Nas’s father of course being Terry Milera who played the Magpies , St. Kilda and later Glenelg .
So definitely a strong connection to Port .
Pic of NAS playing for Kooniba , Cedunas Aboriginal team , the oldest Aboriginal team in Australia , hope we get him
The Davey's were brilliant footballers.
