Hey do not call people out, it's weak as piss, and you make yourself out to be an even bigger Chadwanko that you've been previously.

The irony of this coming from you.

The one narrative I can't stand is that we are talented. It really pisses me off.

We have some kids with talent. Some. So does everyone.

But last nights team was diabolical for actual AFL talent. Truly horrific.

not one player gave a **** last night. Walking around the paddock they may of well just not been out there.

They’re all mentally checked out. Talent or no talent, if you don’t want to be out there you’re not gonna play well, that’s a fact

Rawlings Top Blunders:

8. The CCJ Trade

7. The obsession with undersized footballers: Will Phill, R Stevens, C Harvey, Hansen Jr, B Drury, J Konstanty, Spicer, Mahony, Banch, McKercher, Fisher, Daniel, Wardlaw......I mean seriously, WTAF is going on?

6. 2020 Draft - taking Spicer ahead of McCreery. They were both at the same club & he rated Spicer ahead of McCreery????

5. Selecting Banch in the MSD when we already have 7 very smalls on the list. How he thought Banch could make it at AFL level is a mystery.

4. Drafting Jack Mahony - a small, slow, inside mid. Again, we already had a stack of his type. and THEN extended his contract after it was as clear as day Crafty was not AFL standard. Extending Hansen Jrs contract is right up there as well.

3. Jacob Edwards in the MSD ahead of Jai Newcombe.

2. Using pick 4 on Z Duursma - Again, we have a list full of half forward flankers. Leaving Dan Curtin on the table, and even Nik Watson will go down as major f**k ups.

1. Trading pick 25 for C Daniel & then following that with the Whitlock trade. Laughable.

Please feel free to add. Those are just off the top of my head.

I hate Brady but there is more than a fair amount of hindsight here lol

Some, yes.

But I will die on the hill that we should have taken at least one of Curtin/Caddy/Watson when we took McKercher/Duursma.

Our list profile at the time absolutely did not need both an undersized midfielder/winger and a medium forward/flanker.

Hindsight wasn't needed for criticism of that one.

The trading of the first rounder pick alone and how our season has gone in that gamble that was backed by nothing but blowing smoke up our asses in the pre-season is reason enough to fire his ****ing ass.

11 First Round Picks on the park against Geelong. 11.

And even if we retained that pick we’d waste it anyway because our first rounders are ****ing mids a plenty with MID talent to match.

In no particular order;

  • The biggest issue for me; continously bringing in D grade veterans from other clubs like Zac Fisher, CCJ, Dom Tyson, Atu Bosenavulagi, Lachie Young, Josh Walker, Aaron Hall, Tom Campbell, Will Walker, etc... guys who do nothing to help and actively limit the development and AFL opportunities of our younger players.
  • Using our AFL-assistance draft picks on Darcy Tucker and Griffin Logue
  • Extending Robert Hansen Jr when he was struggling to perform in the VFL but no new contracts for someone like Toby Pink who has cemented himself as a required player? Bewildering.
  • Missing on multiple mid-season draft picks who went on to perform way better than anyone we selected (Geordie Payne #1 over a dozen guys who have since played AFL, Kal Dawson over Massimo D'Ambrosio, Hosie over guys like Noble/Snelling, etc)

Our biggest issue is we are bringing in these high picks into a team with little or no confidence and the leadership is fragile from all the beatings.
It’s extremely difficult to show your wares and develop fast in this scenario unfortunately.
In the 90s (many yrs ago)anyone could come in play a role and look pretty good when your leadership is so strong .

sickening

There was never a world where we were taking both talls so this is a little unfair... but **** me, imagine how much better our structure would look with Curtin and Caddy in our spine. Curtin rotating through the midfield when we need a big body in there too...

Man...

the newcombe pick is really bad to, he would be perfect for us at the moment

Duursma should have been one of those, definitely. At this rate McKercher is going to be our only midfielder with any speed so I'd say he was a need lol

Brady ****ing Rawling & Co rate F. Maley highly is why we didn't see any need to take Archie May. That makes total sense.

Checks ladder position, checks W/L record for the past six years, yep make a shit load of sense.
