Again, I'll still take itKoch a minute after Ken leaves. It's all his fault. The usual blame the guy who's left.

Don’t have the minerals to sack him so what we get is this thoroughly wasted season which benefits nobody, all so people paid to make tough calls don’t have to have an awkward but necessary conversation.Ironically we probably would've sacked him by now if we hadn't announced the succession plan in February. It's just being used as an excuse to kick the can down the road now.

Meanwhile, at Port:
• Rozee: “we love Kenny!”
• Wines: “it was still a successful year!”
• Every second goob: “go and support the tingles!”

Or they'd wait til he proved the haters wrong once more with a win over Carlton and got a 2 year extension as a reward.Ironically we probably would've sacked him by now if we hadn't announced the succession plan in February. It's just being used as an excuse to kick the can down the road now.
Gray saved Hinkley's arse so many times. That 6-day period was the epitome of the Ken Hinkley era in microcosm.
Robbie Gray pulls their arses out of the fire after a horrendous performance against Carlton on the Sunday, then they back up by getting ambushed by St Kilda at home the following Saturday night to lose to the Saints for what was the only time between 2011-2024.
Absolutely nil clue how to keep consistent, good, replicable performance on the rails for any length of time.
Agreed, the media protection is also ridiculous, and the way Koch and others gaslights a dedicated and passionate fan base. Similar to years back when Trigg dismissed Crows fans who questioned Neil Craig’s record, and Riccuito basically said we should go and barrack for Port. How do you think think we feel as supporters, if we criticize Ken the players or the club, we get called fickle, unappreciative, white noise supporters, remember this has been going on for 13 painful years.
Look how the media have protected Ken, this wouldn't happen at any other AFL club.
To think that your mob were going to sack Nicks if he didn't make finals this year, how come you guys don't get the same garbage from the media as we did.
Nicks had a harder task, coming off a wooden spoon to get better each year and now has shown he can coach.
He’ll likely have to re paint and replace Ken’s powder room toilet seat if that’s the case.Poor Josh, Ken's office would stink like crusty balls. He'd need to sterilise the room.
Yep at least the Crows sacked Sanderson when it was clear things weren’t going well, and Pike even though we made a GF. We then had to endure that feckin camp and ongoing media shite about it, plus the Burton disaster. It’s been a long road back but at least we put in the hard yards. In a nutshell - Koch and his egoThe thing is our admin is so arrogant, they don't realize the hole they heading for. They talk about learnings but yet they ignore the perfect test case at Crowville on how to avoid 8 years of misery.
That plus there’s a new coaching (and possibly admin) regime coming, he doesn’t have to suck up as much to ensure he gets access to KennyI wouldn't think he's just realised it. Probably stinging enough now after that loss to bring it up.
Yes.I see Matthew Primus still has Southport sitting 3rd in the VFL. If he gets to a GF or can snag a flag does that make him a more accomplished Coach than Ken Hinkley?![]()
Yep I'd say sitting 3rd in the VFL trumps hoiking up a sliver dram goblet in the Bell Park olympics quite comfortably.Yes.
Keep your powder dry. It remains to be seen if Nick's will deliver any more in finals than Ken.
