Danny would love to be a coach one day. As much as he would be missed, if he wants the position I hope he gets it.

I feel like he's chris Fagan's succession plan. It seems like Fagan is more likely to retire after his current contract, so i'm sure the club could keep him knowing he will succeed after him.

It's not just about Danny.....it's about his family as well. They all live in Melbourne (except for his wife & 2 boys) and the go home factor is always there when in circumstances such as this.

He has been under Fagan since 2018....he is ready.

He said to someone recently he's on a steep learning curve so I'm wondering whether the urge to be a head coach has only taken hold the last couple of years.

There's no doubt Fagan is grooming him . He's the perfect profile for us so I hope we don't lose him and he's already knocked back offers for Senior roles in Melbourne . Whether an offer as Senior coach somewhere he would jump at or whether he's prepared to wait we shall see.

I dont think they seriously consider themselves with a premiership list. Their backline is starting to fall apart with May and Lever almost done. Forward line is a complete mess. And the mids are so reliant on Gawn.

I reckon its a fools chance to take them on and try and do anything with it. Better off trying to partially rebuild the list
