Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

That's basically where I'm sitting Wick, I disagree with the decision and think it will cost us some quality players at the very least, however I trust Wright's thoughts over my own, and the fact that this is quite an un-Carlton-like move surely bodes well for it being the right one, yeah?

Maybe Wright doesn't rate players who crack the shits and want to leave when they don't get their way? Addition by subtraction to get buy-in from the entire playing group, rather than a few high quality players upset and moody ruining the culture?

I don't have a stance on the matter, just offering an idea on how Wright may view it all.

Club thinks Voss is Hardwick and Bomber despite the mountain of evidence from his previous coaching stint and current coaching stint that says the opposite.

In my view we are just delaying the inevitable. Would love to be wrong.

I gather 26 will be considered a development year so if things go pear shaped early on we won't have constant chatter about sacking him if results aren't in the positive, then we just let his contract finish without extension.

If the team does well then re-signing becomes a consideration that we need to really think long and hard about. Doubt he'll have suitors anyway so we can take our time.

The rumour that has been doing the rounds, which I myself didn't believe because I thought Voss was absolutely GONE is

Adam Simpson to be Carlton senior assistant.

I went back and watched AFL360 from last night and he was very passionate about the role of the kicker and the mid/fwd connection.

Thought that was interesting given our struggles this year. Almost like he was demonstrating his knowledge of the value of knowing where to kick to a leading forward and how to execute.
