Sorry boys, but this is going to be VERY ugly. I sincerely hope otherwise.

looking at our last match and we had
Caldwell, Martin, Setterfield and Parish and we lost by 95 points at home.

Durham must have been out suspended though, so we will at least have him this time
Was a home game but MCG was no real home ground advantage. But yeah, heading down that highway really is entering the gates to hell for us at this time.
Would be relieved as distinct from happy if margin is less than 75 points.

I’m not even joking; under 100 points would be an enormous surprise.

The autopsy thread from last week’s game has 67 posts… and this one has 64 so far 🙈
Just merge all of the 2025 autopsies into a stream of consciousness type thing. Stick the injury reports in there too, just to finish us off

I know we are desperately light on for tall defenders atm , but surely we need find out, starting this week, whether Blakiston can compete as a ruck at AFL level. Where we are atm, there is little downside risk in trying, and frankly I don't care if Jezza kicks 12 or Shannon neale kicks 8 ;just play whoever as KPDs and lets see if a guy drafted to fill the ruck vacancy left by injury to Drapes and Bryan can actually cut it in that role at AFL level. After the monstering Grundy gave us last week, it's not like he can do much worse. There seems to be talk on the Geelong board that Cats may rest Stanley and give their own rookie ruck a tryout.
Obviously in 2 months time we will know more about our ruck needs when Draper decides go or stay, and if stay how his rehab is progressing, but surely having as much information as possible on Blakiston's capability makes sense when the time comes to decide on whether we keep him on some part of our list.

Absolutely.

We recruited a ruckman and one we may well need if Draper goes.

Play him 100% ruck for the rest of season. He has looked ok there in stints. We need to know for sure, could be a very handy player.

Just leave the game day thread open and let it become the autopsy thread. The last few pages of the game day thread pretty much sums up everyone's thoughts anyway.
