Ultimately chances are high that we are going to have to go through one of these Victorian teams on the G to win it. However, yeah - for some reason i fancy us against Brisbane, Geelong and even Collingwood on the MCG on GF day. Despite their ladder position, Hawks can beat anyone on their day.

They have a Richmond feel about them, not an overly skilled team by foot but just manic running and pressure.

We were all over them at AO this year, we ran out of steam due to terrible fixturing.

At AO? Nah.

Of course, I hope you are right.

Not necessarily with yourself but so many opinions seem to swing from one extreme to another. From default negative and something will go wrong for much of the year to now feeling invincible. We aren’t invincible and in the second half of the year multiple home games against top 8 teams we were down by 5 goals or so in a few of them. Last week vs Hawks, game against Lions. Even Dees got out by around 5 goals.

Lions are the best team going around IMO and have been the big shortening team in betting markets in recent weeks. From 10-1 for flag to 4.5-1. Neale, McCluggage, 2 x Ashcrofts, Rayner, Dunkley is quality and experienced. They should have beaten us at AO a couple of mths ago. We got very lucky. If they beat Freo they likely finish top 2 with 2 home finals and wouldn’t be betting against them. Asking a third straight GF

Perhaps it’s Crows Lions at the G in late September
