Example of Saints fan cognitive dissonance.
Belief: We have a list full of young talented players
Fact: Sandy are 19th on the VFL ladder
Yeah because most of them are in the firsts you spanner.
Are people employed in the footy media "journalists"?Lazy journalism by Ralph.

Was closer to 26 and those amazing earlier years a thing of the past.Wingard was 23, a 2 x All Australian and a B&F winner at the time.
Football.Sooo.... Ports or Crom?
So crom?Football.
Disagree. Full suite of first round picks, 20+ A and B grade players and another 5-8 quality depth players, many that have played many games this year in various important position inc KPD, mid or hbf.Shame you don't have enough to trade to get it done
No current season stats available
Obviously Port played below their abilities this year, but you dont honestly think Port have a Premiership tier list do you?Don't bother guys if you have a crap year compounded with injury & a tired message coming from a selfish dud coach doing a season long farewell lap it's obvious your entire list is garbage.. that's how it rolls round ere.
Lol. He was a jet, and was still contracted.Wingard in the decline when he got traded v. NAS who is appreciating with every passing minute. Return would dwarf what they got for Chad.
Gotta love 'mate' sources. Zero accountability required when you make comments that sound remotely true.Did anyone see what Jon Ralph said on FirstCrack tonight? IF Nas leaves he has told friends he is choosing Adelaide as he wants to play in a premiership. Boy oh boy.
Where are out Power mates?
Was probably NWM's manager feeding it to get PortGotta love 'mate' sources. Zero accountability required when you make comments that sound remotely true.
to up their offer for when he asks for a trade to themWith NWM decision making matrix I wonder how important the relative stability, club personnel and future prospects of a club are if he chooses to back to SA. Clearly a few factors go into any decision inc going back to SA, contract term, playing with family or friends, relative team outlook and how big the club is.
The key players in terms of personnel:
Port Power
Snr Coach - new and unproven. Has many loyal Power fans openly questioning how he will go after their midfield has gone from world beaters under Voss to not-world beaters under Carr
Assistant coaches - no Snr Assistant secured. The remainder of the coaching panel is perhaps as “low key” as any club.
Fitness dept - worst injury run in the AFL along with Bombers, Bombers sacking their fitness guy. Power players very light framed as often bemoaned by fans
Playing list - I will let Piwer fans judge here as half of the squad hasn’t played or very late draft picks / mid season draft picks. Not well known. Looking likely to finish about 14th this year.
Board of Directors - according to Caroline Wilson in a state of turmoil with the Board likely to throw out Tredrea for recent incidents (anti-Semitic podcast, questions over his sovereign citizen status wanting to pay his debts in legal tender of gold and silver). Afraid of legal action in retaliation. Nobody wants to see the club “tear itself apart”
Adelaide Crows
Senior coach - Mathew Nicks now an experienced coach who has turned around the previous poor culture of the club to now having attracted 5 players in trades in recent years (Dawson, Rankine etc).,Strong favourite to be Coach of the Year as his team sits atop the AFL ladder.
Assistant coaches - Burns, Van Berlo, Hombsch and Godden. Collectively been a part of many successful teams over the journey inc flag wins.
Fitness dept - Darren Burgess #1 in the business, no question. Marco Bello strength coach - likely number one based on my understanding. Players attribute Bello to their excellent injury run and size of crows players bodies (best ever as illustrated in many key stats like breaking tackles and tackling effectiveness)
Playing list - top of the ladder. Flag faves. 20+ A grade and B graders. Many elite already. Ah Chee from Lions coming.
Board of Directors -:stable, no issues, Neil Balme and James Gallagher (ex Macquarie and then Saints List Manager) joined this year.
If looking at the personnel of each respective SA club I wonder how he sees the above..
Combined teams
That’s pretty spot on but Allir gets a gig somewhere also to be fair
Rachele Thilthorpe Georgie
Rankine Walker JHF
Curtin Dawson Bergman
Milera Murray Rozee
Michalanney Keane Worrell
ROB Soligo Butters
Int: Fogarty, Hinge, Allir, Cumming, Peatling
Emergency ANB
The bath water is at all time strength levels over yonder at present.Lets hope for your sake, that Nas reads BF and sees this big puff piece you decided to write
He'd be mad to pick Port over crows.
Rankine joined Crows in 2023. In 2022 Crows finished 14th and Port finished 11th....A bit like Rankine and Dawson were when they chose the bottom 4 Crows over top 4 Port at the time…

Pick 14-18 (which becomes 20-24) this year and likely next year... very compelling. Who are these A grade players that would be on the trade block and worth enough to get the trade done?Disagree. Full suite of first round picks, 20+ A and B grade players and another 5-8 quality depth players, many that have played many games this year in various important position inc KPD, mid or hbf.
As well placed as any team in the comp to get a deal done especially compared to our SA cousins
