You reckon you couldn't use Neale, that's what your previous post suggested. All good, ultimately nobody cares about your posting but there was a consensus from Eagles supporters that Neale was not required. Good list management 👍

Nobody cares about my posting but clearly you do enough to quote a post from 4 months ago.

Right.

It's humourous to an extent... I'll give it that but again you just replied with a question mark after saying that Neale wouldn't be needed at West Coast.

How else do you think people would interpret your posting?

What price do you think he would take to play at Hawthorn btw? So if Saints are offering 2.5 and not getting him, what is Hawks offer that would get him be?
Twomey mentioned $1.5-1.7mill.

Is it too late for Reid to backflip on announcing the contract next week?
I'm not convinced Harley Reid is staying past his contract,
I think there is a good chance he plays out his final year then requests a trade, if he doesn't request a trade this year but doesn't re-sign before the start of next season than you would be worried.

Management has come out and put in no uncertain terms he won’t start 2026 without a contract from either the eagles or another club he’s been traded to

How do you suggest Neale would be needed at WC? Especially at the expense of Reid.

Neale was garbage as recent as last year, showing how quickly things can change. We have Shanahan, Reid and Williams who have all shown enough to give them time, plus Waterman still to return.

Looks like he's sticking around, fair play to the kid, not a big fan of the way he carries himself on the field sometimes but he's also still a kid, but if he's managed to secure a big deal, more power to him, well done.

Was supposed to sign 3 weeks ago when his management was in Perth.

Not saying he has, but the AFL needs to sign off on it after the fact. So he may have.

I'd be shocked if there aren't some elements to his contract which need a lot of checks by the AFL.

Marketing money, third party deals (unsure if there are elements of these in player contracts), performance triggers etc.

Announcements wouldn't occur until the AFL gives it the official OK.
