I'd like to see Steele and Parker get full games. Surely we don't need a full game from Pendles to get over the Dees, who have nothing to play for and are likely already thinking about their off-season trip?

Oh they have knocking us down a few rungs of the ladder to play for. As for Pendles, it’s not the full game thing I’m asking for. It’s his footy smarts. Refer GC game with him Sub then when he came onto the ground.

Nothing has changed here and the constant speculation, innuendo and questions, fuelled in part by the media and amplified by the cesspit of social media, adds nothing relevant or meaningful.

Been good, our best mid in the vfl. But 5 years in. He’s not an elite mid. That’s what we need. I’d happily keep him on our vfl list

Injuries, death of his father, COVID, not as if the years have been smooth.
Sully is not elite and not consistently doing Fins high VFL numbers.
I’d do the reverse. Keep Macrae and drop Sully to the VFL list if it was a binary decision. Finn is showing greater upside.

I think things were ok until this week. But it reeks of Bobby not liking the decision to give him another week of preparation and going to the media to plead his case, rather than suiting up for the VFL.

Things weren't ok until next week just cause you and a couple of others only started getting the gist of the situation in the last day or two.
This and a bit more has been going for over a month.

what i have noticed more these last few games than previously, is his running power through the lines. seems to have worked on it . covers the ground a lot better in link up play. just wish he had nailed the goal opportunities he had created for himself, could have kicked 4 the previous game, kicked 1, and had a couple of chances on the weekend.

The way our forward line is going, I'd be thinking about bringing Cox in.

We seem to be bombing it, and just his height and reach could bring something different to the dynamic of the forward line.

I mean ok between Bobby and the club. They brought him back into the senior team two weeks ago, so over a month sounds ridiculous to me. Seems to me very likely that things were fine on the club front but he went to the media because they wanted him to play ressies against Adelaide and then didn't play ressies. I'm not expecting him back.

Really just need to do whatever we can to smack Melbourne by 80+ and ensure we finished 4th.

Means we end up playing a qualifying final against a Rankine-less Adelaide, then either:

• Adelaide > Home prelim
• Adelaide > Home semi (Gold Coast) > Home prelim (Geelong)

Both are favourable scenarios.

Selecting Mitchell based off his vfl game is not selection integrity

With all due respect, selection integrity went out the window with this coaching group/selection committee some time ago.

It's funny, late last night I started a post about selection, got distracted and forgot about it and then saw a post from Mitch Cleary confirming my suspicions about the Playing Group being the reason Bobby isn't playing. I went to post about it and saw my last night's post still sitting there waiting for me.

Like...in principle? I get it? But if the playing group wants such an integral part of our team "earning his spot/their trust" then you can't be putting in performances like our forward line did on Saturday night.

Enough is enough now, Bobby needs to play
