I used to be addicted to golf but couldn't watch it on TV. I went to quite a few tournaments over the years and being there live is much better than TV. BTW, I was a terrible golfer but I did enjoy playing the game

No. I'm not saying they should be rested now. Too late now. We're at the end of the season and it's kind of fallen apart.

They should have been managed earlier as opposed to others who were rested when they didn't need to be.

We also don't need a HUGE win Friday. Just a decent one (30-40 points should get the job done if we assume Gold Coast smash both Port and Essendon)

If Port can get up for Ken (doubt it) or at the very least keep it competitive, then Essendon keep it competitive, then we just need to win.

On the above technically a 1 point win could be enough so long as the Hawks get up in a close one. The AFL’s ladder predictor is shit for margins, but a 10 point win (the smallest margin available) for both us and Hawthorn would see us finish 3rd or 4th depending on the results of GC’s match. Let’s match Saturday’s intensity though and win by plenty.

Lipinski needs to be dropped to send the message to all senior players that half-hearted, bruise-free footy will not be tolerated.

Send him back to the VFL and make him prove himself in tackle count and GPS stats - especially metres run and repeat sprint efforts.

Allan potentially stiff, but also not really because for some reason Fly only gave him a handful of minutes in the last quarter so there's no way to gauge his performance. Lipinski has not been great since his concussion.

It may be controversial but Roan Steele should replace Lipinski for now. In the games he's played in the seniors, his kicking inside 50 looked just as smart as Lipinskis before he dropped off. Steele is clearly a very smart footballer, can run all day and provides pace. He's an upgrade on Lippa at the moment.

There's also the question of McStay, he's unable to provide as a forward right now because he's playing as second ruck and has had to play all around the field of late due to injuries etc. He's being thrown around everywhere and it's clearly affected his game. I think the club will persevere with him.

Make this game a percentage booster. Go hard before the bye and secure top 4.

I'm not Lipinskis biggest fan, bit of a battler but they keep picking him so that's what makes me think they won't put Steele in so late in the season. However, Steele could replace Alan

i highly doubt they will pull the trigger on that , Macrae needed 6 weeks of solid performances like he has been doing to demand a spot. would have been perfect to try him when we were "resting players" but planets didnt align for that
