Bold choice playing Cameron in the Darcy Cameron position.
It’s the question of intensity. We beat them by 8 goals last year in a glorified training drill. This is our last opportunity to warm up for a hopefully deep run in September so in terms of result the expectation is we’re bringing a finals like intensity to this one. If we bring that intensity and Melbourne’s is at a similar or same level to last year it’ll blow out.We struggle against the Demons. Since 2018, we have only kicked 100+ once, and that was Round 24 last year. Even then, we only won by 46 points which might not be enough.
We don't kick big scores or win by big margins against this Demons team. So we';ll have to do something we haven't ever done under Fly on Friday.
I’m thinking Port will give this a shake for Ken.Suns should win each by 10-12 goals if they’re serious so I’d reckon we’d be ****ed.
And for BoakI’m thinking Port will give this a shake for Ken.
GC are not over the line.

I then think the confidence level in what we’ll see result wise comes down to your expectations on intensity. Start as we did v Adelaide and this one won’t be within 10 goals, but the longer they stay with us the more their intensity will be up. Best case is Rd 24 2023 and worst case is we eke out a nothing win.
No Bobby isn’t heremakes sense
Has Bobby made an appearance? Not that I expect him to play - just wondering if he's at training.
Unfortunately I can imagine a much worse case than that…It’s the question of intensity. We beat them by 8 goals last year in a glorified training drill. They won’t want us getting top 4
There was the exact same stakes heading into last years match. We needed a drubbing to be any chance of a final 8 spot and it’s the lowest intensity match I’ve seen since 2021. If we bring a finals intensity they won’t match it because they aren’t finals calibre. It’s on us though to be treating it for what it is a wildcard final.Unfortunately I can imagine a much worse case than that…
Except they had half their team missing last yearThere was the exact same stakes heading into last years match. That has nothing to do with intensity… At full strength this year they’re a bottom 6 team anyway that’s won 7 of 22. It’s all about the Collingwood that shows up.Except they had half their team missing last year
Mixing it up due to the inclusion of Parker you’d assume?Houston training exclusively as a wing
Right move, been calling for it for months. Will allow us to play parker in the side, which should also allow pez and jaicos to have increased midfield minutes .Houston training exclusively as a wing
Yeah if you actually have a look through Port's injuries you'll see they are no chance. It’s a nice thought, but I’m not pinning my hopes on Port without JHF, Wines and Ratougalea along with Essendon’s VFL squad turning up. Go Hawthorn![]()
I'm giving up on that now. Resigned that he will request a trade and the last we saw of our little Normy was taking a specie and kicking a goal as a super sub against BrisbaneNo Bobby isn’t here
I’m not convinced about no chance, but it’s worse than I thought because I’d forgotten Bergman and SPP.Yeah if you actually have a look through Port's injuries you'll see they are no chance.
No, no Bobby todayNo Bobby.![]()
I actually think Port will go close to beating them, and if the Suns win, it will be by 2 or 3 goals. I feel a GC choke coming on....Suns should win each by 10-12 goals if they’re serious so I’d reckon we’d be ****ed.
