Need I remind you all that this is an indigenous player that's had a history of mental health issues since being drafted. He has made a terrible mistake, which he will learn from, he has accepted his punishment and already apologise for it.

Like I said, there's some talk on our forum that it wasn't directed at the Collingwood player but at a contest that player did so Rankine wasn't aware what he said affected the player which was why it didn't bother the Collingwood player. It was reported by a Collingwood official who overheard the players talking about it after the game and informed our official who contacted the AFL and Rankine called that player to apologized and took ownership. I would be disappointed if the club didn't support our player and make a noise so the AFL will change it next year as Eddie seem to think they will.

Just because the AFL gave 5 as that's the count it's up to doesn't mean it's correct lol. The AFL should have been listen to all evidence and then hand out the suspension and not the other way around, had they done this and given 4 weeks in the first place then none of this shit will be happening with leak to the media.

Well yes he does but as for who is 'pushing to use it as a way to get the punishment down' I think that's more likely AFC than him. He's quite possibly disappointed but accepting of the initial 5. I could be wrong though.
