500k by Saints is crazy.

Windy is a gun and following the exact same trajectory that Finn Callaghan did a year earlier. Saints offered him 17 million over 10 years and aren't even offering 1/3rd of that to their home-grown player who is on par with where Callagahn was a year earlier.
He ain't no Finn Callaghan. In the current market he’s worth more than 500k but not worth 800k. Really solid citizen, runs all day and sets high standards but butchers it under pressure and lacks penetration with his kicking. One thing St.Kilda has is an abundance of is B grade mids. Need 'A' graders (NAS) and KPP’s as we were hopelessly undersized this year. Reckon a deal gets done and he stays but we could probably cover him if he goes.

What’s Hairy McCreery being offered ?.

Surely should be $800k plus given his track record ?.

With St Kildas list profile they are better off moving Steele off, giving Windhager the 700k a year and using Steeles salary + removal from the midfield and give it to Windhager.

To me Steele is a bit of a blocker for Windhager. For Steele I think if he wants a longer career he bails to one of GWS or West Coast. Moving the family is rough but a extra 1.5 mill or so he can eek out of a club like West Coast will be worth it for sure

Cant throw a captain under the bus because he's down on form or near a cliff. Windhager just needs to push harder into the midfield.

What do all neutral supporters think Windhager's pick value is right now?
Forgetting teams, purely a fair pick range.

What’s the deal with tsatas he looked elite as a junior has he been injured or just hasn’t developed?
We've dicked him around a bit, it's the one area we have depth, he's a poor kick. Bit of everything

Windy wants $850K a Season, Saints think that he’s worth $500K upwards , can’t blame Marcus in this climate to want as much as possible but not an A grader yet and still given tagging roles, definitely picked his game up recently, Saints need another A grade mid but they’re hard to find

Be interesting what a club like north would be willing to pay in a trade for him they seem desperate to bring in players

I thought the $850K that is was rumoured he was wanting us to pay him was unwarranted (it would mean he’s worth about a mil PA on the open market!), but if we’re only offering him $500K-ish that’s extremely rough.

Especially given his improvement this year, off the back of a number of injury-interrupted years.

With another full preseason he could really spike next year.

He’s also a super-professional “standard-setter”, well liked, and one of our big indigenous crew, so I think we really need to get this done. Our offer should be at least $650K. That’s like $500K 5 years ago, so it’s no big deal.

Port could offer him 500k more a year over two like NAZ and he would knock you back.
Port are a nowhere club. Even with North having 300 mids in front of him he would rather go there.
Reckon he stays to play with the superstar anyway.

He would be a starting midfielder for us. Our midfield needs to be balanced out with a defensive runner.
