We tried with Powell and it didn't work, Wardlaw provides great pressure but can't sustain it over a full match. LDU has played more defensively minded this year and it's diminished his impact, he excels like on the weekend when he's focused on his offensive game.

So, your basically saying that your star midfielder that you over paid is worse than Windhager? Pure midfielders need to run both ways, mid fowards run offensively.

I’m really not sold on aleer to be honest I think his an example of an athlete trying to be a footballer, his lucky to play in a good team that covers his shortcomings. I hope he re signs with gws , I see windy as having elite potential more a mental thing for him believing in himself I really wouldn’t want to swap him for aleer

Yep. Seems like the Saints have committed to picking him up on a pretty decent contract though. I'd be happy for him to sign at the Giants but not on the cash being thrown around by St Kilda....same with Windy tbh. Surely not 800k for 5 years.
Aleer at least is a key position player in a position that you need.
Personally can't wait to get Buckley back this week....which means Aleer is likely dropped
