If it was the guy who is in charge of our stupidly high press then fair enough
(99% sure that is Bevos own design)
Sadly, that’s Bevo.

Member thank you round that was, more like Member 'f*** you' round.

The 7 goals in the last was probably the biggest insult of all and yet another f*** you to us fans.

It was beyond weak and insipid today. The stakes were clear, reputation as flat trackers, chance to make a stand and we put in a limp and gutless effort like that. That should end careers, but it won't.

I'm done. Without major change, I won't be signing up for a 31st year as member in 2026. I've had enough.

I would ask for heads to roll, but they won't. As weak off field as we are on field.

Criticism of McNeil is warranted. If JOD is not in the side that would mean that Gardner is. That is not a good option.
JOD is a work in progress. Realistically the way the ball moved into the forward line he and Lobb were on a hiding to nothing. Both had bad moments but they were under siege.

I hope Buss is better for the run, but he’s not particularly quick and is not great under pressure.

He plays bus over Jones, then drops bus half way through the 3rd quarter anyway.

Out inability to punch at critical moments is shocking. Also the dreadful Manning up inside defensive 50 is shocking

The one that got me in the last quarter was Bailey Williams. It was a 2 on 2 and he's 7 metres away from his direct opponent. His opponent just lead up and marked it 40 out....Just insane. Cost us another goal.

There are times when you sag off your man and times when you don't. Our blokes have no clue in this situation.

I know the defenders weren't great but holy hell the mids did them no favours. Let Freo waltz through the middle repeatedly.

I feel we need a new mid coach. The setup in there just doesn't work against good teams and could be easily fixed without wholesale changes to the list.

Am I the only one that doesn’t want an Essendon win.

Couldn’t think of anything worse than repeating today all over again.

Agree. It would also be unfair imo. We’ve been unable to beat any good team except for our orange bunnies, lost every other game that mattered. We’re a deserved ninth place and would be making up the numbers in finals.

Perfectly summed up our season, just not quite good enough. Didn‘t capitalise in the first quarter and fell apart in the second. Credit to them for still trying in the last quarter, but that effort should‘ve been there in the second quarter when the game was in the balance.

Again we had the same issues that we‘ve had all season. Let easy goals out the back and (most) defenders couldn‘t win 1-on-1 contests.

The footy bothers me a lot less than the board signing an extension mid year for literally no reason.

We gave up all optionality for 0 gain.

That’s what happens when the board doesn’t have to justify their actions to anyone.
Was at the ground, I want to see this. I noticed at 3/4 time all the assistants spoke to their respective groups, Bevo was back at bench. Them Then the assistants ran away up a different gate back to box and Bevo came out. Is this normal, there was no communication between Bevo and assistants at all.

Taking nothing from the last quarter. Horse had bolted. More insulting that they decided to show up when the game was done as a contest. Mentally weak.

To any of you mentally struggling at the moment, it's times like these you need to have something to turn to. A loved one, a friend, etc. For me it is hardcore drugs and I must say it is working 👌 go dogs!!
Name checks out

It’s not so much that, it’s just I’m completely indifferent.

Was the same a few years ago when we were all supporting Carlton to beat the Giants.

Didnt care then and I don’t now.

Essendon are essentially no chance any way to beat the Suns.

They’re away, they have about 5069 injuries, they’re no good and are on a huge losing streak, and the Suns have everything to play for.

Our season ended today.

There are some players we’ve given a lot of games to, that wouldn’t have gotten them at most clubs. Definitely not any clubs with serious aspirations.

It’s not really their fault and it’s not a personal thing. Not their fault they get picked. Shouldn’t be any non-footy criticisms or over the top vitriol.

But - it is incredibly frustrating. And in some cases it’s the same players year after year.

And no, they don’t perform some super complex role that only big brains can understand. They’re just so far off the level required that aspect is completely irrelevant.

Treloar watching on while some of these players were selected is the height of selection stupidity. What’s really sad is that it played out exactly like the West non-selection last year, when he was available. We had everything on the line. We would have been a better side with him in it, over a few others. Nobody can really dispute that. There’s a risk in playing him, but you either cop that or use him as sub.

Bevo is tactically poor in many ways. This one is one of them. And it is beyond frustrating.
Freo brought one of their better players in off an injury. He played well. Big risks. Big rewards

It hasn’t been his game since he was concussed by Naughts. That incident kind of changed the trajectory of his career.
English takes a LONG time to get back into after a concussion (not paying the bloke out, it's just a fact. concussion is different for everybody).

Fortune favours the bold. We saw this in 2016 when we brought half the team back from injury for an EF.

Sadly both in terms of selections and just more broadly the team has becoming incredibly boring, safe and completely lacking in ambition.

Freo would have been absolutely delighted that we selected McNeil, Baker, Garcia ahead of Treloar.
