Oskar Baker has turned into the Dogs best defender, imagine what they could do with two All-Australian, premiership-winning defenders?

Don't know much about this kid, but a small forward who kicks goals? Worth a look you would think. Anyone know anything about him?

Have a decent source inside the Crows, talking like we are looking at Clarry again.
He seemed to end the season well

What do you think is a fair deal? Assuming that MEL will absorb some of the % of contract
I would happily take 30% of his contract and Adelaide give up their first which is probably like 27 after academy shit.

Yeah that is a fair deal for both

We need another midfielder to add to our rotations and not some B grader, an actual A grader and Clarry seems the most likely
ANB and Burgo surely into him it seems

Taking into account these will change with F/S, Academy etc, and also pending final ladder, but I would say the scenarios would be something like:

Dees get your current pick 42. You take on the whole contract.
Dees get your current pick 18. Adelaide get Dees future 3rd, Clarry, and Dees pay 400k PA.

Main issue with Oliver is he's and inside only midfielder, at his best he was elite at it but he doesn't kick goals and doesn't play anywhere else so once he's yours you gotta commit him to that.
Can we have anb back :'(

I say up to 50% because I think his contract goes up each year to 1.5m or a bit above it doesnt it? Average salary would be ~ 1.3 to 1.4m a year on the remainder? 700k pa seems about the right amount for a team to take a chance on him. Maybe we can get the Crows first if we chuck a third back or something.

Might do it on a sliding scale of how much Melb pickup over the course of the deal

We already handed over co-captain premiership superstar Alexander Neal-Bullen and relieved Crows of spud Shane Adam you can have the whole contract you campaigners.

ANB really has been a great addition , always right place right time and a cool head

Will happily take Clarry too if you want rid of him ;)

Clarry looked closer to his best in the final few weeks of the season. Which is good news if we wanna offload him, a club like the Crows have a need for a player like him and they'll back themselves to get him back to his best.

As others have said, the deal would be dependent on what % of his salary we pay. Could definitely be a win-win for all if it happens.

Option 2 for me.

Would love to keep Judd, and I reckon there could be something in Sestan. Maybe Verrall's worth keeping for another year.

Maybe McDonald stays on for depth.

The rest might be gone.

Looking through the Bulldogs board they seem pretty desperate for defenders. I wonder if we could sell them May or Lever. Unfortunately May's recent form seems to be put under the microscope so his value would seem to be going down. I wouldn't expect much for Lever either.
If I was the Dogs I’d be sniffing around Lever first as he’s the youngest and is the most… um constructive leader type.

Tom McDonald should appeal to them too and would come as a free agent.

May would be the least appealing. A demonstrative but questionable leader. Can be brilliant and terrible in the same game. If he was free maybe.

From a Melbourne side if the new coach isn’t a fan of Lever then maybe he’d go for next year’s 2nd rounder given this year’s draft is rubbish.

I'd actually target Petty with the lure of playing full time KPD.
