I have no time for Hawthorn and have a soft spot for the early 2000s Brissie Loins side but that call was absolutely disgusting. If Geelong had benefited from a similar call I'd own up to it being ridiculous.

The frontal contact was generous, but evened up with a super obvious frontal contact on Chol not paid 15m out straight in front.

Interesting MRP results. Wilmot done for staging, Zorko apparently exaggerating impact from Ginni's push given Ginni given all clear. Surprised umpires not sucked in on the night given the overall tone of the evening.

After seeing the Amon free kick again from the original angle it is even worse than the replay they showed. Deliberate everyday of the week under the old rule.

Yeah, if you don't think a dubious free kick paid in the last few minutes influences the result of a close match more than a dubious free kick paid in the second or third quarter (or whenever it was), you've never played footy.

Had a look and I can’t tell what the umps paid but I presume either that (fact Starc didn’t spoil it and only hit Lewis front on) or the fact Lewis got hit in the head by the man behind as well.
