AFL takes over to ticketing for the finals so it's always a joy

I'd imagine it could be tomorrow at the earliest but there's been no official announcement.

Even the AFL website is showing as TBC for when the tickets are on sale so very much so wait and see till the club or AFL announce it - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1403462...-week-one-of-2025-afl-finals-series-confirmed

It's a bit of a surprise all these details weren't ready to go and just require to be published.

I imagine we'll get an email from the club with details sometime today.

Typical of the AFL under Dillon moving at a snail's pace. The Thursday and Friday games should have been on sale Monday and the Saturday games should have been on sale today, to allow maximum time for people to purchase tickets.

One of the advantages of the weeks break is the first finals get bigger crowds due to the extra time given for ticket sales. Another stuff up in a long list by the current afl administration.

Any idea what an adult Cat 1 / Cat 2 / Cat 3 / Cat 4 ticket will cost? Ridiculous that this information does not appear to be on the ticketmaster website and probably wont be until ticket sales open tomorrow.

EDIT: Hawks poster informs me Cat 1 $105 and Cat 4 $35. Very decent and hopefully means the game sells out.

True, but it will be interesting to see how they allocate tickets for this game. I have been to finals games at Giants Stadium where Members aren't in their usual spot.

Oh they’ll only open up the bays on the tv side first. They’ve done that for the last half dozen years or so.
They’ll one the others as it gets closer or as/if it sells quick.

Anyone popped over to the Hawks page for a squizz? It's a mixture of false bravado "We'll outnumber the 2 Giants fans at the game, don't care about the Giants it's the next team we meet in the finals I worry about, etc...", balanced with quite a few "I'm worried about Stringer, Hogan, Daniels, Kelly, etc... returning".

Always think of we had the tv setup the same as other stadiums we wouldn’t have copped half the grief.

Anyway. We should get close to a sellout. If not one. So the atmosphere will hopefully balance the sun out.

I'd expect a good number of Canberrans head to the game - I am certainly considering it if tickets to the general public become available.

I also think they are bad at promotion.

It probably is possible to have the split we do and still get sellouts at both.
But it takes talent leadership wise to do it. Our board, with our CEO and Chairman at the head, has shown time and again they don’t.

But yes Fulltime is a bugbear of mine.

You can filter the categories mate. Im in the Giants supporter bays near the cheer squad.
