Also too, call me a cynic, but I just am not buying Bailey Smith's story about his mental health crisis last year.

He has form with this stuff.

In his draft year he wrote to all interstate clubs claiming that his mental health issues would prevent him from being to play for a non Vic club. Then within the space of a couple of seasons he's running around like a flog at the Bulldogs and trolling players who had legitimate mental health issues.

I'm guessing once Cotton On and Geelong came knocking suddenly his mental health issues magically reappeared and he most probably used it as a way to get himself to Geelong.

lol, I’d like to see Kornes come out and explain this.

You’ve got a Captain lead his team from 15th to Minor Premier, single handedly turned games, voted players captain and they give it to a bloke who captains cattle.

To be fair to Kornes he was talking Worrell up way before others were. Repeatedly said he is a gun early in the season.

There are about ten on the panel, he made it clear this morning he wasnt going to be the spokesman which is fair enough.

The ****? Cameron the AA captain? The bench all midfielders. No Worrell. No Elliot? Josh Battle? What an embarrassment this AA shit has become.
Entire panel should be sacked, a horror couple of years, Kane would no doubt bully others on the panel too now given his profile and his ‘high and mighty’ opinion of himself. With just Kane’s biases he should’ve already been forced to stand down.

Thing I don't understand is who was asking for it?
If there was no stand out captains I could see a possibility for it but there was and it was Dawson. So he should have been AA captain.
Harris Andrews was also a valid candidate for Captain as was Noah Anderson but to select Cameron is utter bullshit

For reference: Andrew Dillon (chair), Laura Kane, Kane Cornes, Glen Jakovich, Nathan Buckley, Abbey Holmes, Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Matthew Pavlich.

Okay, we hate him but he has some football cred at least
Meat head
Good
What?
Good
Never been remotely impressed by him
Good

So only 3.5 out of 9 have any business being near this panel.

Real shame that Dawson didn't get the 'C'... Cameron was an very odd choice considering the company...but he does get points for his speech :tearsofjoy:

Can't believe the Woozal didn't get an spot in the back line considering our defensive stats and finishing minor premiers!

I haven't paid attention - Jeremy Cameron is Captain?

Bit of a joke.

No Worrell is pathetic.

Pies win 18 games in 2023, 3 x AA’s plus AA coach

Geelong win 18 games in 2022, 5 x AA’s plus AA coach

Melbourne win 17 games in 2021, 5 x AA’s, plus AA coach, while Port win the same number of games and have one AA.

I’m sensing a pattern here. Are you? Go back and find the only three teams in history to have less than three AA’s when winning the minor premiership. You can guess where they’re NOT from.

No Worrell - the best defender in the team with the best defensive profile in the league is not only insulting, it’s abhorrent.

Daws overlooked for the captaincy, in favour of Jezza is a pisstake in itself.

After all the heroics Daws has conjured this season, lifting his team on his back time and time again, willing them to victory. Being responsible for the accelerated development of one of the games brightest young stars in Dan Curtin, leading the club through turmoil with humility.

But being the consummate professional, ultimate team man and leader he is, he will brush this off, put his head down and put a raging fire in the belly of every one of his teammates that burns all through September.

Stick your Victorian popularity contest up your arse.

The Vics are about to get a rude ****ing shock over the next five weeks, and when it’s all over, they will feign adulation and respect but silently they will stew and seethe, looking for the next excuse to tear us apart at the seams.

I'd say it took Bucks until about half through the year to know who Worrell is. He clearly doesn't watch us play very often. He is very Vic centric.

Ultimately we want team success. A little unjust kick in the guts for a few of our boys isn’t necessarily a bad thing in that regard. Even if it is a ****ing joke

Worrell over Battle and Dale.

(How dumb is Baily Smith)

This is by far one of the most mediocre AA sides ever selected. It has the smell of the AFL desperatly trying to spread it out amongst as many teams as possible to avoid selecting too many Crows players. JC the way it was worded, received the Captaincy as a reward for his 5th selection. So you can be a shit onfield leader and not even a captain of your club but make the AA side several times you get rewarded_ the AFL has lost the plot.

Battle, Pickett and Ed Richards are the most not deserving of a spot. Rankine and Worrell should have both been selected. Im sorry this is a disgraceful team. Utterly terrible.

Hopefully lots of “poor robbed Crows” media shit coming
