He played half a season as a CHF in 2001 when he finished 2nd in the B&F. (First 12 games were at CHB).

He played as a CHF in 2002 and kicked 38 goals.

He then only played 8 games in 2023.

He was good, but lets not act like he was in the ballpark of Tippett - especially with regards to a key forward.

Hentschel was better as a key forward for us than Stevo.
Disagree - i rate Mark Stevens ahead od Tippett.

Can't just compare stats as they played different roles & Stevens also spent significant time in defence.

Just went and looked at goal kicking too, maybe we underrate Fog a bit too. He’s had a very solid four year stretch. Rung below Jenkins/Lynch for now, but closing.

More of a 3rd forward though.

But has a very good record.

which is why we need to be patient with his son.
Won our goalkicking four times, once in a minor premiership year with not many others up forward in those years. Was never a 3rd banana because he had the likes of Perrie and McGregor as the other guys

No doubt he was our best forward, but he wasn’t a key forward more a medium.

Eddie Betts was our best forward for many years too...

He was exactly the same height as Modra
Still a 3rd forward imo.

Height doesn't dictate position... it's a guide.

I had him in our best ever team, but as a 3rd forward not a key forward.

The Herald Sun had Thilthorpe on about $675k a year. If true, that's a crazy bargain.

That’s the benefit of drafting well, particularly home grown talent and developing good culture.

If you want to attract new talent you have to spend big $$$. But if you have a player already at your club who is happy, they will accept a lot lower salary.

Particularly when we re-sign them early up to long-term deals guaranteeing fheir future.
