Potentially - him & Freo agreed to new contract terms at the start of the season that could be seen to leave him vulnerable come Nov this year:

The Fremantle Dockers and Justin Longmuir are pleased to have agreed to vary his employment terms to see the Senior Coach lead the AFL program into 2026 and beyond.

At the completion of his current fixed term contract on 31 October 2025, Longmuir will transition to an ongoing employment agreement.

Suns might go into next week with a bit of confidence too - no Neale and Hipwood for the Lions, and they smacked them by 11 goals a month and a half ago, albeit at Carrara.

Kick it straight at the goal umpire is all he needed to do

We don't necessarily know how the rest of the match would have unfolded, but that would have put Fremantle in front when they had a fair bit of momentum but couldn't put it on the scoreboard

I don't have the numbers on this myself but I'd be curious to know the percentage of players who reach 100+ games who finish their careers with a premiership versus the percentage who finish without one. And then the same stats for 200+ game players as well.

Thee age profile of their best/most talented players players is very good:

Brayshaw - 25
Serong - 24
Young - 24
Clark - 24
Jackson - 23
Treacy - 23
Amiss - 22
Reid - 19

It's only really Luke Ryan among their big names players who is closer to the end than the start of his career. They've got time to get things right.

I just don't think he is very good tactically especially game day and doesn't seem to be a great motivator either.
