The picks are linked to us, so at worst we'll now finish sixth so pick 13 and 31 before FA comp picks etc. (we have 8 and 26)

If we lose to Adelaide so worst case scenario and remember they haven’t published the new draft points system so this is based off last year:
Out pick 14 (2024)
picks 13/31/49 (2025) which = 1595 points
In pick 8/26/55 (2025) which = 2004 points
Difference is equal to pick 32 in our favour this year.
So the net of pick 14 out and 32 in is we gave the equivalent of pick 25 for Barrass.

But for me the best way to look at it though is simply we gave pick 14 and got Barrass and upgraded first and second round picks this year.

It got pushed out to 17, which was Murphy Reid.

Pick 14 went to Carlton -> Richmond -> Fremantle who used it on Murphy Reid
