The picks are linked to us, so at worst we'll now finish sixth so pick 13 and 31 before FA comp picks etc. (we have 8 and 26)What’s the latest on what Barrass trade ended up costing us?
If we lose to Adelaide so worst case scenario and remember they haven’t published the new draft points system so this is based off last year:What’s the latest on what Barrass trade ended up costing us?
The West Coast decision makers (LOL) can thank their lucky stars that Carlton managed to squeak in the last 2 wins for the season or else things would've looked a whole lot worse with the decision to take our picks instead of the Blues. If we lose to Adelaide so worst case scenario and remember they haven’t published the new draft points system so this is based off last year:
Out pick 14 (2024)
picks 13/31/49 (2025) which = 1595 points
In pick 8/26/55 (2025) which = 2004 points
Difference is equal to pick 32 in our favour this year.
So the net of pick 14 out and 32 in is we gave the equivalent of pick 25 for Barrass.
But for me the best way to look at it though is simply we gave pick 14 and got Barrass and upgraded first and second round picks this year.

The solace they can take is that at least they're not North Melbourne...The West Coast decision makers (LOL) can thank their lucky stars that Carlton managed to squeak in the last 2 wins for the season or else things would've looked a whole lot worse with the decision to take our picks instead of the Blues.
Speaking of WC fans our buddies over at their Hawthorn Death Ride thread went eerily quiet after our victory the other night. Like always apparently it was the umpiring that got us over the line![]()
If we beat Adelaide the same formula means we paid the equivalent of pick 31.The West Coast decision makers (LOL) can thank their lucky stars that Carlton managed to squeak in the last 2 wins for the season or else things would've looked a whole lot worse with the decision to take our picks instead of the Blues.

Anyone know who the Pick 14 ended up being? Lost track with all the pick trades and FS/Academy bidsThe West Coast decision makers (LOL) can thank their lucky stars that Carlton managed to squeak in the last 2 wins for the season or else things would've looked a whole lot worse with the decision to take our picks instead of the Blues.

geez Murphy Reid would have been a handy get, but no guarentees that we would have picked himPick 14 went to Carlton -> Richmond -> Fremantle who used it on Murphy Reid

3 if you think Archer Reid could be a gunHilarious the Eagles were adamant they wouldn't accept our first pick last year (in a significantly stronger draft) without another first coming along.
Only for Sleepy to tell them to GAGF and trade them for more assets in a weaker draft.
And then they stuff it up by asking for our picks instead of the Bloos!
They could have 2 gun Reid's.

Like my comment so I can keep coming back and laughing at this.So with tonights win does this mean the best pick WC can get is 15? If so![]()
