Okay. We've probably had enough of a free for all.

There are still forum and site posting guidelines, and you will abide by them.

A few seem to be of the opinion that now is a good time to have a crack at moderators or moderation. I'd rather like to discourage that impulse so I'm going to make it explicit: a moderator on this forum is a poster like any other, and can share their views and have free use of the forum like any other. If you feel a post breaches the rules report it; attacking a mod for their posting or objecting to a post purely because a moderator said it is grounds for an infraction and some time off.

From here, if you cannot speak civilly, you will not be allowed to participate.

Thanks all.

Some are like that others not so much. Equally.....atheists like to pick and choose parts of the bible and misquote them to slam dunk on christian's.

Yeah, it’s almost like there should be rulebook for Christians to follow.

Everybody in the US knows "gun deaths are worth it to ensure 2nd amendment"?

Errr no I don't think thats right.
Everyone knows there are consequences for everything. He was not weak and acknowledged that. You seem to be doing the complete opposite which doesn’t make you or your opinions any better morally. Just weaker.

The only people who think and talk about the 2nd amendment are the ones using it for political reasons to support the weapon manufacturing industry.
Only lunatics and grifters would think any deaths are worth it, and fewer would say it.
My grandparents hunted, had rifles and shotguns. My dad did but packed his rifle away when he moved and started a family. My best friend, very liberal, has a small arsenal. I know many others. All of them are very careful with their storage of their guns. Many have never even killed an animal with one.
Any person who contemplates a gun death as being worth it is a PoS. Even defending against an armed home invasion, the gun owners I know would probably hesitate, and have problems sighting at a human target.
People like Kirk and others making money off this shit. "They’re not people. They’re animals.”

Well yes, there are most definitely consequences for the US having the gun laws and culture they do lol.

Charlie was prepared accept those consequences if it meant the status quo was maintained. But many do not accept those consequences have to be absorbed in maintenance of the status quo, thats just objective fact mate ¯\(ツ)

You may see that as a weaker moral position, you'll be amazed I'm sure to know that I don't agree. Stronger in fact, I would argue.

I’m not gonna dance on someone’s grave but Kirk basically said empathy was somehow a bad thing. To honour his values would mean not offering your condolences to his murder.
Did he? Interesting take you have.

“I can't STAND the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new-age term, and it does a lot of damage. I much prefer the word compassion, and I much prefer the word sympathy. Empathy is where you try to feel someone's pain and sorrows as if they're your own. compassion allows for understanding." -Charlie Kirk

Sacked for telling the truth.

Phoenix sports broadcaster fires basketball reporter for criticism of Charlie Kirk
A Phoenix, Arizona broadcaster, PHNX Sports, fired a reporter who covers the Phoenix Suns basketball team on Thursday for viral social media comments he made about the conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk after his death.

The reporter, Gerald Bourguet, wrote on X on Wednesday night:

“Political differences” are not the same thing as spewing hateful rhetoric on a daily basis, and refusing to mourn a life devoted to that cause is not the same thing as celebrating gun violence. Just so we’re 100% clear on that.

“He was a father” Half of y’all didn’t give a DAMN about doing anything to stop gun violence when the victims of mass shootings were LITERAL children. And those kids weren’t bigots spreading genocidal propaganda, or a mindset he directly fed into …

If you’re saddened by today’s “political violence,” horrified by the video, or repulsed by my response, ask yourself why your reaction was different when it came to school shootings, mass deportations or the HUNDREDS of videos of horrific murders in Gaza (which Kirk cheered on)

Truly don’t care if you think it’s insensitive or poor timing to decline to respect an evil man who died. Too many of you are more concerned with being polite and appearing to be good people rather than showing some damn backbone and standing on principal to condemn hate'

Just as an innocent pedestrian supports being killed by a drunk driver because they didn’t want alcohol banned.

I hate Trump and religion so it is easy to guess my opinion on Kirk but the people getting a thrill from his murder shows how sick people are.
You've made a false analagoy. The correct analogy would be someone who asvocates for drink driving being killed by a drink driver.

And as I keep saying, Should we accept the status quo on the deaths as a result of Alcohol? Are the deaths resulting in alcohol worth it? Should me mock an innocent person for being bashed to death by a drunk because they thought we should allow alcohol knowing the troubles it can cause?

What a saint. He should be made a saint.

Reminds of Jed Bartlet... :laughv1: love Sorkin's work

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as stated in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Leviticus 15:19-24). The problem is, how can I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Leviticus 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
A friend of mine says that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
Leviticus 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's Word is eternal and unchanging
