Friday night - makes it harder for supporters to get there and you know the Hawks fans will be out in force - many seeing the light of day for the first time this season, perhaps even a few seasons.

We are mostly fit and so it appears are they.

It had to be Hawthorn didn't it... it just had to be. At least its a proper rivalry game.... and will carry on the tradition we have.

They will come at us - Mitchell will channel some 08 methodology..... being the underdogs. Mitchell will swing some changes too - hes part of the CS appreciation society and would luv nothing more to

But we aint chopped liver either. We've had some external noise this week but that will get shelved now and CS will lock himself and then club in.

Weddle, Newcomb, Gunston, the little flea bags they got running around.. and Meek the ruck will be a challenge.

We just need to be us - play like there is no tomorrow. First to the ball. Head over it - no slipping over and no double touches.

Take the chances when they present themselves and dont over think it.

Mullin, MOC, Atkins even... the handbrake squad. Make it happen.

Cant carry anyone who is hurt - and time for bottom 6 to win all their battles. No harm being bottom 6 - just win each contest and if you are beaten -make damn sure you effect the next one.

And for the Top 10 - dont feel like you have to win it on your back... play the team game... individual brilliance is welcomed... but in doses and spurts...

We can do this... we've done it before and it will need out best...

Hopefully they’re very sore, life is more important that a game they should both take the week off. Ginni and Newcomb will surely come into some tribunal concern although likely both fines rather than suspensions.

If we can deliver the mature, resolved and committed approach to this game that I know we are capable of, that we saw during the Brisbane Lions game, I think we'll be able to stem Hawthorn's pace, confidence and momentum to a point where we will beat them.

Yep, a Bomber fan was at the game and said the Hawks made heaps of mistakes and were gassed in the end. Sometimes you see these things more clearly at the game.

There is no way you guys let Gunston just waltz around on his own. Crows made Newcombe look like Rowell.

Crows were putrid and had zero run. Meek destroyed their ruck.

Presumably Mullin to Newcombe.
Hawks similar to us - strong at both ends with slightly weaker midfields. But I'd like to think that we're slightly superior on every line.
Hopefully either or both of Holmes and Smith can get off the chain and cause some havoc.

That nagging complaint of not beating them in cut-throat finals...this would be a nice time to lay that to rest.
