Dear won't be ready for this weekend, so Lewis will play next Friday night.
Morrison has been ruled out for the year, so he isn't in contention to come back.
Expect Gunners and Ginni to have a light week on the track and be ready to go for Friday night's blockbuster.
Weddle and Butler both pulled up well, which is fantastic.
Some boys at Box Hill today will be trying to prove that they could be a sub option if we need to makes a change to the line-up.

Barrass to Neale
Battle to Cameron
Scrimshaw to Dangerfield
I’d be dropping scrimshaw on Neale and Battle to danger. Scrim in ripping form, battle has the juice to run off danger. Don’t underestimate scrim, he’s as composed as they come under pressure.

I cant see that happening. Cameron would work him up the ground and catch him out running back towards goal . Gotta be Battle.
I'm more concerned about their hard runners , Holmes, Smith , Myers . Weddle and CJ are our main runners .
I'm very confidant in our forward line to match up against their defence though .
Possibly, but i'd much prefer Barrass in a one on one situation

Hi Hawks, cats here. Firstly I just wanted to check in on how you’ve pulled up today - hopefully very bad and can't get back on track soon.

I’m also reaching out to let you know that there is always malice between us. We try to enjoy football but sometimes you've made it go horribly wrong. Yes, we do try and play the game as it should be played but at times you've broken our spirit and I just want you to know that.

Again, not very sorry for what’s happened and all the circus around it. Hopefully it’s just one more week for you and off you go. I wish you no success for the rest of the season. Go well, cheers.

*** In all seriousness, I hate this but I love this. Excitement levels are extreme for this week. I will be very nervous but I'm also grateful our clubs get to have such a rivalry that still matters.

My heart can't handle another close match against Geelong...but if it isn't close I'm concerned it could be a bit one-sided the wrong way.

But, we have a level of energy and drive that I am loving. It's creating opportunities, and whilst we're not always taking those opportunities, we need to create them against teams as consistently good as Geelong.

Need the footy smarts of Ginni and Gunners, so hoping like hell they both get up.
I’m not sure I’m ready to be hurt again

I think for both supporter bases the pain of losing and the joy of winning is tenfold this week just due to the opponent with these stakes.

One thing I like about this match up for us is Geelong don’t move the ball quickly and like kicking it long.

I’ll back our back 6 in against that sort of ball movement all day. If we can just break even in the middle I think we are a huge chance.
They absolutely do move the ball quick. Fastest in the comp. Not sure where your getting that observation from. Slowing them down is what you need to do and what should be the basis of what Mitch plans for the game.

We dont have a fwd to replace Ginni if he doesn't get up.
Assuming it's Mackenzie.

Send Butler forward and add the extra midfielder in McKenzie, or Impey goes forward and BMAC replaces him in the backline. Only changes under the circumstances you could make.

We only beat a struggling Collingwood in the home and away season.

Nearly coughed up a lead to GWS, which rendered Adelaide favourites last night.

We saved our best performance since the 2015 GF. Incredible display. 2025 season = ✔️

Amazing what one single game can do for confidence.

Reality and statistics suggest Geelong will win between 2-15 points, however these games rarely go to script.

Many have suggested a free hit at a gf, and I have to agree. Few teams win two interstate finals in a row to earn a home prelim.

If we beat Geelong, we are miles ahead of schedule, which following the GWS flurry of goals looked extremely unlikely.

Strange things can happen PF day against a rival (and we are miles better than Carlton 1999)

Shocked with those calling for sweeping changes, very few teams make wholesale changes in a finals series.
Think we’ll go in unchanged.
Ramsden would get destroyed by a seasoned Cats defence

Only change I want is CJ out and any injuries replaced.

Lewis leads well and draws players. Gunston needs that help.
