Eagles board reckon Richmond will trade picks 2&3 for pick 1 🤣

I like the leverage of FOMO, i mean I get that they think professional clubs are run on that given Matty Clark’s efforts in the west, but cmon you’re not trading with Bigfooty posters.

True. My apologise.

I was more referring to Maynard’s aggression. Do something to Xav and he’ll use his next chance to run through you or put some extra mayo on tackle. But he probably plays more like Vlas with his intercepting.

His kicking is sus though and it’s a lot of short safe chips.

So you’re saying we’re getting Butters?

Bruzzy is a good bloke who never hurt nobody

Given Clarkes trades from 2024, we could trade Young and our rookie pick 2 for both 1 & 2

am I the only one who thinks Weet Coast would be insane if they don’t take sharp.
No. Hes the best fit for them. They've got a whole heap of versatile guys and likely add Duursma, they need that bull.

I think Twomey has him and CDT back to front. I know he says it's a form guide but he definitely does his ratings based on who he thinks the clubs with the picks will take.

I seriously doubt this. Not this far out either.

Had a look at last year's form guide for September, and Twomey's top 10 was:
  1. Ashcroft
  2. Langford
  3. Jagga
  4. FOS
  5. Murphy Reid
  6. Lalor
  7. Smillie
  8. Draper
  9. Armstrong
  10. Tauru

Both WC and Bombers should be jumping out of their skin to land him. He’s a super leader and the rock they could build around.

We should also be stoked to get him, just think Lalor/Smil/Mcaullife/Robey gives us enough cover of his strengths but not enough to cover his weaknesses

Dunno. Hes already said he thinks WC take the first 2 and has slid Sharp who is a clunky fit for Richmond straight past us now and boosted up 2 kids that suit us better.

Pretty sure when asked on our 2 picks that he thought Robey and XT were good options we would look at.

I do think he has CDT and Sharp back to front but hes pretty adamant that they take CDT where he has him.

How would people feel if we drafted Sullivan Robey and Oliver Greeves?

Our midfield in a few years would be...

Smillie (196)
Robey (191)
Greeves (191)
Lalor (187)
Hotton (183)

That would be amazing given each of them can also be damaging up forward.
How ****en slow do ya want us to be?

Not sure Twomey saying WCE will take the two best talents in Duursma and CDT if they have picks 1 and 2 is breaking news though. The conversation around Sharp has always been about WCE's list need rather than Sharp being a better footballer.

When Sharp's traits are as obvious as they are, it's easier to find players who you predict to have higher upside, and thus rank them as better talents than Sharp. I think it's pretty much common consensus that Sharp is a player with a high floor, but low ceiling. Anyone who has a higher ceiling could very easily be rated higher than him if they prove to have a decent floor as well.

This can just as easily be Cal viewing it as "I've ranked Robey and Taylor as the next best talent, and Richmond have those picks, so I'll mention those names".

If you were to name the best 10 non-club aligned players for the draft, and rule out the taller prospects (ie. CDT, Schubert, etc...), then you can make a case that we are interested in all those left over players for one reason or another.

Just don't think it's as deep as you're making it.

I’m still in for the combo of Cumming & Robey. Both have shown that they can play half forward and kick goals in big games. It’s been said that in years to come, they have attributes to attract midfield minutes.

Cumming has exposed form at SANFL level. Robey just won a flag and kicked a lazy 4. Watching the highlights of Robey he seems to be popular with his teammates. Plus, he’s dealt with setbacks and kicked on. Listening to Gieschen, these are qualities we value.

I’m not suggesting that it fixes all our deficiencies, but it adds an extra layer to our best 22, and enables us to potentially release Seth & Lalor to play more midfield minutes.

You tell him bro.

He has been getting far too big for his britches lately.
