They don't believe anything reported by Ralph, Edmond, Morris etc. Cal Twomey is about it, maybe Riley Beveridge.

They could all be saying that but unless one they believe is they still won't. Weird supporter base and very weird how lippy they are becoming for a club with 7 x as many spoons as the dogs.
They have want down this path once before and it didn’t get them anywhere I wouldn’t even pay any attention to them

I only do because my dad is a lifelong saints supporter and he's starting to shit me with the "everyone wants to keep us down" crap. They're all starting to echo it.

They're not Geelong, noone gives a toss

Unpopular opinion but I hope NWM remains a Saint for life.
Nah, **** em' and the horse they rode in on. The way they are carrying on i have gone from being happy to see them succeed to hoping they crash and burn.

The sheer arrogance from a supporter base who has had absolutely no success is staggering

Every club has a cap and they’re using it aggressively. By their own admission it could bite them on the ass but I respect them trying. If we’d been stuck mostly in the bottom 10 for the last 15 years I’d hope we’d do something drastic to change our fortunes too.

It hurts but the real enemy here are the larger clubs that force smaller clubs to do stupid shit to try and improve.

Its a risky approach which could pay off, but I'd say the players they're bringing in are a level below what they really need. None of Silvagni, De Koning, Aleer or Flanders (if they can get him) are world beaters but they at least have a strong young core already.

I don't mind the gamble but do think the supporters need to cool it on the 'destination club' head wobbling when the players are clearly coming in for the inflated salaries on offer, not because St Kilda is suddenly the most attractive club in the league. They face the same struggles as us with this.

The supporter base don't think they're paying inflated salaries and think the media is inflating numbers to make them look desperate. Everyone is out to get them, not sure anyone cares about them in general.

Beyond that it's the AFL itself that gives free reign for a Premiership winner (probably) to pull in another couple of free agents this year and other 'big clubs' to continually raid other clubs and 'smaller clubs'. When in reality, top four clubs should be unable to engage in free agency in that year, at a minimum.

An AFL that enables the rich to get richer through dodgy third party s***, sweetheart deals and favouritism.

An AFL that screams fairness and equality yet beneath the surface is ridiculously unequal and horribly compromised. Hence why St Kilda are setting themselves up for a future Collingwood fire sale by spending the lot and then some as if they've just received their first work pay cheque.

Anyway, today we celebrate another rich get richer game between the last two after a rich get richer prelim weekend in which those four clubs have won the overwhelming majority of flags this millennium.

EPL, here we come.

I know everyone's salty at st kilda and blowing their money on like 5 players but jeez whiz what else are they supposed to do. No one would want to go there unless they massively overpay... at least they are trying something different. And theyve now somewhat become a destination club because good players who want a pay day will automatically think hmm st kilda will pay up. What have we done outside the norm to ever give us a leg up. Maybe if we tried something extreme we would have barrass on our list.
I hate st kilda and hope we get Wilkie but I kind of think.good.on.them for what theyve been doing, while we just keep being the nice club who doesn't take.any BIG risks.

They’re tactic is similar too I’m poor can’t buy a house going to the casino with all my savings and hope for the best

None of what they’ve added is any good even if they also add Flanders he’s not a mid

God I will be annoyed if we dont bring in a decent backman or two (no frost or may dont count) I will genuinely loose interest before the season even starts

If we have the money need to be aggressive other than just Wilkie. Offer overs for someone else if needed ... it will show how much the club really wants to fix this.

The ones I don't want on the list are May & Laverde. Mcgovern I rather not because I don't think Dogs can improve him. The right team like pies can push him to do 1% more and not be a big liability. Frost only as a SSP option but it means there will be unlikely any improvement in defence.

I hope dogs look at Kolodjashnij. Was injured most of the season.

Would be nice if we could stop with the 32 year old plus defenders. I get we want a stop gap but I'd much prefer someone Butts age
