Bevo is at the head of it is he not ? He's responsible for majority of it. That's the coaches role.

The Bevo defendants will always find excuses as to why we don't make finals or win them and why A grade talent are happy to walk out the door in their prime.

the role of a coach is to manage difficult players and to get the best out of them, even if they are difficult personalities. alf players like most high level athletes are difficult people to manage because they live in a very competitive and pressured environment. so bevo not being able to retain these players is due to his poor management of these 'difficult souls'. also, not making the 8 is also a sign that he needs to improve or move on. hope he has a better season next season, but another 7 or 8 finish on the ladder is not good enough. missing out altogether is a fail and a new coach has to come in. top 4 finish or arrivederci bevo!!!

Dunkley said we we unprofessional and he may have been correct but the real reason he left was he didn't like certain team mates ( Hunter) the main culprit.

Think he was always going to seek greener pastures. The culture stuff was the excuse.

Bailey who shat the bed when it counted in his first year at the cats needs to be included. Given he is not even the top 2 at Geelong alone would say that's being generous

Bobby Hill overrated and now has serious personal issues screwing with his life.

So I am far from concerned with any of those "major" moves.
The dogs need to get a lock down Key Defender. Unlikely to be Wilkey (but until he says no should be no.1 target) so anyone with state league knowledge know if there is someone decent who could play that role?

Is it possible that optimizing exclusively for premierships is similar to exclusively optimizing for GDP? Ask an economist if nothing is more important than GDP

Should we create a more toxic work environment where harassment, bullying and abuse is 10x likely to occur in order to give ourselves a 10% better chance of a premiership? E.g. recruiting a certain melbourne player?

None of the Saints players will demand trades until after their B&F. They all would have seen how much the club sooked up at Battle last year and banned him from going.

The Freijah chat is just cope from Saints supporters. Because Wilkie’s one of their few A graders and they can’t fathom not getting one back.

If Wilkie asks out they’ll squib it and just tie it to the Flanders trade or some other move to sell their supporters on it.

Thanks for asking. As an economist I’d target a well-being index as a measure of the success of a society. This would encapsulate financial and well as other measures of wellbeing. A happy society is not necessarily the wealthiest society although there are correlations. I’d rather live in a happy society than a wealthy but miserable one.

Yeah this bloke in the team that won the flag this year seems pretty solid, you could make a case that he's the best defender in the VFL this year, I think his name was something like Ryan Gardner?
