I read somewhere on this forum that Mr Whateley had forcefully backed Chol's 3-week suspension on his radio show over the weekend.

I trust someone is doing a health check on the bloke, as it appears his opinion doesn't carry as much clout as he seems to think it does.

He absolutely did. I heard it.
He was the only one saying the report was justified.

Ralph is a bit different. He just roots for controversy no matter what.

He doesn't hate Hawthorn specifically.
Ralph is - at best - a gossip columnist who will say or write anything for attention.

He comes across as incredibly smug for a bloke who has twice been passed over as chief football writer at the Herald Sun in favour of Mark Robinson and Jay Clark.

As for his MRO proclamations, if Ralph was in charge blokes would get weeks for an excessively firm handshake.

Nobody takes Ralph seriously you'd think, expect perhaps for him.

From the sounds of the relationship that Littlejohn has had with the senior coaches over the years, I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing. There have been a few noteworthy differences of opinion and strategy between the two sides in the last few years.

Wasnt there a story during the year about him playing a HFC listed player out of position, as in not where Sam wanted them to be playing

Yes. Last year he was also pushing a different playstyle at VFL level at times, and I've also heard he hadn't been willing to give game time to players we want to see more of.

We need someone to buy into Sam’s game plan so the BHH lads are ready to go when called upon. Sam wants to win more that he is arrogant, so challenge him in planning but be on the page come game day.

This doesn't surprise me, every year in finals he plays an uncontested brand that doesn't stand up, and it is completely at odds with how <Mitchell wants the seniors to play.

I think David Mackay would be a good replacement.
