Walk up starters in a position where we get smashed isn't all that impressive if you ask me.I hope teams continue to delist players that become walk up starters for us![]()
That’s nice. Getting our best tackler ever for 2/5 of sweet FA is good recruiting, no matter who you askWalk up starters in a position where we get smashed isn't all that impressive if you ask me.
Well it would seem Dees & so far no other club wants May either.Don’t know why people would want Blight who can’t play and don’t want May who can play. Just checking everyone realises it not Malcom
I only look at blight as free hit depth to replace Dean. I doubt it’s a question of may or blightDon’t know why people would want Blight who can’t play and don’t want May who can play. Just checking everyone realises it not Malcom
Clayton Oliver's defensive tackling at the middle is elite and Pies should definitely be knocking on his door.
Pies are weak at the mid-field in comparison to the teams that they will face in Finals settings.
I doubt it is a test we will take on. Will be interesting to see what Melbourne ask for him. We traded Grundy for pick 27.Good test for our culture.
In 2022 Adelaide traded Billy Frampton for a future third, which is essentially nothing.Similar things have been said about other club rejects in the past . That in itself is not a good argument.
Quite apt that you bring up Grundy, who interestingly enough was also 28 yrs old when he was traded.I doubt it is a test we will take on. Will be interesting to see what Melbourne ask for him. We traded Grundy for pick 27.
Grundy also didn’t have the off field issues that Oliver has had.Quite apt that you bring up Grundy, who interestingly enough was also 28 yrs old when he was traded.
Forget those 3. This isn't the year to add dickheads - there are complete ****wits going cheap. Time to stock up.I could only dream of having Owies, Papley and Cumberland in the same forward line
Our second round draft pick is for young McCarthy.Would you pay 2 second round picks to get Oliver on a 550K contract instead of 700K?
I’m talking getting clearances to help us win a flag. Not even close. Titch is the antithesis of Oliver. Known for his dedication to getting himself into shape, a fantastic person off the field and around the club.
Then there's this bloke - I know who I would prefer.

My mate who is a Richmond fan , also plays suburban footy at a very good standard. He kicks the ball well.
And before that, Port rejected himIn 2022 Adelaide traded Billy Frampton for a future third, which is essentially nothing.
Now he is a premiership player whose performance on Andrews in the GF is becoming more and more of legendary performance given Andrews dominance in the last 2 grand finals.
We are pretty good at developing defensive players, so maybe fly has seen something in blight that he believes can be developed.
The length of his contract is a massive red flag, even if we were only paying half his salary.I’m talking getting clearances to help us win a flag.
McCarthy has slid, same with McGuane and Saxena. Read the latter two are looking like rookie selections. Our second round draft pick is for young McCarthy.
Yep, he might just check outHaving to take him on for 5 years is the hard no for me.
The price I’m ok with. The 5 years, no. Too big a risk
I think they erred with their list management. I suspect they were happy with Gibcus, Miller and Young as the primary options and they have a lot of talls so were happy to move on from Blight. Curveball comes along with Young moving to WC and all of a sudden the call to delist looks questionable. I’m not convinced this is a good because it’s a real sideways one from Dean, but the cost is hopefully a rookie list spot so not one I’ll be questioning.Richmond have been average since 2020.
If he was any good, why would he be delisted?
