I understand your position. It's understandable. I almost entirely agree with your position. What I'm against is your opposition to posts like the one from Gethelred.

You can understand something, while also being against it, right?
You can explain something, without being supportive of it, right?

Can you please quote anything that Gethelred posted, that was wrong, and explain why? Rather than the ambiguous hand gestures that are being employed by many.

Unsure if Kneecap actually endorsed Hamas or Hezbollah (if so, they’re despicable). That out of the way—free speech in the Australian sporting landscape is on shaky ground; its allowance seems selective at best.

When will it occur to the Jewish community that Netanyahu and the IDF are damaging Israel’s interests and global standing with their actions in Gaza? True support for Israel means demanding policies that uphold both security and human rights for all in the region.

By all accounts, Alex Pearce is an honest, compassionate young man. I doubt there’s antisemitic intent in his heart. But if he’s fallen into the unthinking, virtue-signalling ‘river to the sea’ rhetoric — he needs to be educated on it, tout de suite.

Almost everybody in Australia (and a lot in Israel, but I expect the experience of the October 7th massacres has hardened opinions over there) opposes civilian deaths. But not everybody is going to use the same language as you. Some people prefer nuance, in the ongoing conflict where both Hamas and Israel are refusing to make the necessary concessions to achieve peace. I don't know that this thread is the place to provide that nuance as there are other places to discuss it, but I would suggest you hold back on the 'You must be anti-Israel or you support genocide' type of rhetoric. It doesn't help anybody and it doesn't help you despite the support you may feel you have here.

Could argue that Netanyahu and allies prefer one-state solution so they wouldn't mind if the Palestinian national identity was removed, but Hamas have the same plan for wiping Israel off the map (and the Jews that inhabit it). And there are two tangoers.

How many times does Israel have to say they want to wipe the Palestinians from Palestine before people like you will accept that that is what they are doing?
How many times do they have to say it?
How many times does Netanyahu himself have to say "there will be no Palestinian state" before people like you will accept that this is what it is all about?
This is not about October 7, and never was.
This is about Israel trying to finish the job they started in 1948.

77 years they have been at it.
Israel has ethnically cleansed much of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, thereby forcing 2 million people into Gaza.

Whether Hamas accepts the BS Trump deal, or not, Israel is going to continue slaughtering Palestinian children until they have slaughtered every last Palestinian child.

There’s really not two tangoers. One is committing a genocide that is internationally acknowledged by all the relevant bodies.
