Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
They need to replace him in the long term, so will want to be drafting a talented mid. They are paying 55% of his salary to achieve that end.Do we need a first round pick? They tried trading him twice already. Won’t cost much the third time around. Link it to Checkers trade. Throw a draft pick in.
Richards stated publicly earlier this year that he wasn't going anywhere and told his mgr to deal only with Dogs. Can’t believe we didn’t go all in to get him as a free agent

Richmond had 7 picks inside the top 30 last year and they drafted 4 talls in that crop, plus the existing Gibcus and Miller. Luke Trainor is definitely seen as a key defender and they have tried Tom Sims down back too. Plus they're going to have two top 5 picks in this draft, so who knows what their plans are with those.I think they erred with their list management. I suspect they were happy with Gibcus, Miller and Young as the primary options and they have a lot of talls so were happy to move on from Blight. Curveball comes along with Young moving to WC and all of a sudden the call to delist looks questionable. I’m not convinced this is a good because it’s a real sideways one from Dean, but the cost is hopefully a rookie list spot so not one I’ll be questioning.
I doubt it is a test we will take on. Will be interesting to see what Melbourne ask for him. We traded Grundy for pick 27.

He is not going for free but he will get to where he wants to go and on his terms.you think dees are paying 500k for nothing in return? They’ve said to the market come at us with your best offer. He’s not leaving for free
My understanding is that DFAs are senior spots.I think they erred with their list management. I think he became extremely complacent at the Dees. His best is top 5 in the comp, but his worst is deplorable. Could Fly along with Nick, Pendles and co unlock his best again? For a late pick and a heavily reduced salary id be interestedI'm in on Oliver but can't believe a club is offering to pay 600/700 k a year for the next 4/5 years to get him off their list.... Interesting!

Yes, the 2021 version was good!I think he became extremely complacent at the Dees. His best is top 5 in the comp, but his worst is deplorable. Could Fly along with Nick, Pendles and co unlock his best again? For a late pick and a heavily reduced salary id be interested
He was. Now he is quickly nearing the end with too many years left on his contract.Unless we add top end talent we won't keep up. At his best Oliver is a top end talent.
They also are mates. Similar ages and both from WABuller and Blight look a good couple of cheap young KP prospects. Like it
Are we really judging players on their Brownlow votes after the debacle of the past 2 counts? And 0 brownlow votes from it.
So makes you wonder that maybe he wasn't hurting with his touches.
It's a bit bizarre that Dees have essentially trash talked Oliver by saying he'd only get games in the VFL if he stayed, knowing they were losing Trac as well.Melbourne are clearly heading towards a rebuild, otherwise they wouldn't entertain trading trac and Oliver in the same off season.
So they will likely prioritize draft picks over salary cap space.
Paying clarry something between 500 and 600k is a lot more palatable than paying something north of 700k over the next few years .
I have a feeling Oliver will prefer being out of the spotlight and may well choose an interstate team like the swans or even GC.
Think that is probably the best way to regenerate our list given our needs.Buller and Blight look a good couple of cheap young KP prospects. Like it
We struck gold with West in the 50s so hopefully we can hit with our picks this yearThink that is probably the best way to regenerate our list given our needs.
Use the DFA and late picks and to target key position players on either end of the ground, and save the higher picks for mids.
Im usually pretty optimistic. Maybe im missing something , just watched a highlights vid of his afl play. Decision making and disposal is questionableWell I’m taking 23yo Blight over May that’s for sure. Hopefully we get him.
