Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Im confident Humphrey would go us over Melbourne. Melbourne looks pretty unappealing minus Trac and Oliver.

If a player wanted success and a durable career, going to one of the five Docklands clubs would be a mistake. With 25 years of data in on Docklands it has to be a factor when it comes to a player choosing a club to move to.

Cause based on EBs previous mail, it's the "likely" outcome, hence the others are running with it to look like they have solid mail.

Melbourne are about to start a full blown rebuild. We have jagga, Dean, Cody all coming in and still have Walsh, Jacob, H etc. We are pushing 27,28. Melbourne are still competing with Tassie for picks.

Unless there is someone we want from clubs chasing Curnow we should ignore them until they give us an offer we can't refuse.

We should have idenitified what we need and be shaking trees to shake them loose.

But Dees are losing a lot of experience and talent (Petracca/Oliver/May/McVee) - not sure if they will be that attractive to anyone atm. New coach might help

Nah, I reckon it makes them a better chance to reluctantly trade Humphrey. Petracca is like for like

I’d be going hard for a Humphrey/Walter for Curnow/TDK compo pick double and paying a proportion of the contract for Charlie

Gold coast can then trade a first rounder (which they can’t now because of all the academy picks) and Sam Flanders for Petracca.

Petracca’s contract is massive, I’d say quite a lot more than Curnows, so the Melbourne contribution outcome or Gold Coasts ability to contribute will determine the quality of the pick coming back

Chesser, Khamis, Reidy, Dean, Ison, Florent, another first round pick for this year, and another one to help with Cody next year.

Yes, in theory that's a net loss, but I truly believe we will be a better "team" with all of the additions in the years to come.

I'm a lot more bullish than most on here.

I heard somewhere that he's been offered a spot at Essendon. Personally I hope the club picks him up. Was the best intercept marker in the VFL this year, did a very good job in defence and won the VFL B&F. Would be the perfect foil for Weiters IMO.
