As frogs said earlier (instead of the first year) I'd use him for 2 then on trade him with Melb still paying half
his salary like we did with Grundy or keep him if it works out

No one is off limits in the over 28 group as far as I'm concerned. But I'd prefer we don't lose Bobby if possible.

Agree, Bobby is one of our only under 25 guns, can't afford to lose him despite Humphry having the higher ceiling.

I know it wouldn't happen but id be offering something like 2 future firsts and Lipinski. Would even be open to shipping of De Goey.

Yes you can trade. Its why the report about West Coast giving their free end of first round to the Lions is gross. Essentially gifting the Lions a first round pick rather than just protecting their compo.

Again we have Shane o Bree who came from Geelong running our draft department. Geelong are great at identifying talent.

Shane o Bree would have learnt a lot from his time working alongside wells.

He spent a lot of time developing players at Geelong as well, so that will only help his ability to identify the right players.

They got max Holmes with pick 20, so I see no reason as to why o Bree can't replicate that at Collingwood.

Shane o Bree could have also been behind the roan steele move, which is starting to look like a nice pickup.

I'd be curious if a first round pick and Degoey would get close? They are very similar players at different ends. Jordy's got plenty of good football left in him if we can get his body right. I'd be more reluctant to lose hill than Jordy.
