Honestly no idea. De Goey, Hill, they could get very dirty and trade a now contracted Cameron. Houston has loss value, but Carlton and Melbourne now have picks.

It’s not exactly a mindset. They’re the biggest team in Victoria. By default anyone looking to return there is going to have Pies ask the question.

None of those should be getting them close. Humphrey would be the most expensive player this year if he was actually traded IMO

I know they would've paid the GC tax but he will be on a very favourable contract compared to the open market, those are the exact contracts you don't trade out if you hold them long term

Again, they would be negligent to not inquire. How the deal gets done is different.

If Humphries and Gold Coast were open to a move it would then be on Pies.

They’re looking to improve, as is every club. I really don’t get the mindset comment. Of course you look to improve your list.

No. A lot of misconceptions around this.

Band 1 = top 5% paid players in the comp
Band 2 = 5 to 15% highest paid players in the comp
Band 3 = 15 to 30% highest paid players
Band 4 = 30 to 50% I think

Then band 5 is 50 to 70% - that’s a third round pick.

Player age is a factor too but it’s mostly money offered.

Also the bottom 30% get no compo (Joel hamling a good example)
